1. Describing the attack - politically correctly
Bill Ross ,   Alabama, USA   (03.07.08)
This was not a depressed nut, as happens on US campuses. It is *normal, healthy person* who was *ideologically driven* to commit an atrocity in order to *further his religion.* Now I personally don't object to prosecuting a war with civilian casualties. My problem is not "terrorism" but rather ANY VIOLENCE in order to promote Islam. In other words, call it "heroism" if you must, but since it is in the cause of a wicked ideology, it is likewise wicked. And if, in order to defend itself, Israel must kill "Palestinian" babies - who cares? The point is that the end is what justifies the means. And the end of Islamic supremacy justifies NOTHING. The survival of Israel SURELY justifies killing these rabid Muslims, young and old. I REFUSE to play the political correctness game on any level, let alone on the antics of war. http://billrosspolitics.blogspot.com
2. AMBASSADOR SHOULD CALL FOR A MINUTES SILENCE IN THE U. N.!
ROLAND SEENER ,   LONDON ENGLAND   (03.07.08)
... AND WE ARE ALL MADE IN GOD'S IMAGE ARE WE NOT?...ISLAMISTS WHO CONDONE DEATH AND DESTRUCTION,ARE MAKING "JIHAAD"ON BEHALF OF THE DEVIL.IF THIS IS WHAT COMES FROM THE MOSQUES,THEY ARE MAKING A PERFIDY AGAINST "THE ALMIGHTY'S PLANS FOR THE BENEFITS FOR MAN.THEY SHOULD LEAVE IMMEDIATELLY A CRUEL,SAVAGE DOCTRINE THAT SEEKS PEACE ON ITS TERMS ONLY.BUT AS I SUSPECT THEIR INVESTIGATIVE PROCESSES AND ANALYSES IS FEW AND FAR BETWEEN INORDER TO LIVE PEACEFULLY WITH A NEIGHBOUR
3. Democracy in the Arab countries.
Jean Van Daem   (03.07.08)
The Arab leaders in the Middle-East are afraid of peace. They simply cannot afford it. Peace and closer relations with Israel means democracy in the Arab countries, the end of the dictatorship in the Arab countries first, and then, in the Muslim countries. Can the Saudi King Abdullah accept this ? can Basher al-Assad accept this ? can all the petty tyrants of the Arabic Peninsula accept this ? Besides, can the Arab countries abandon Jihad ? In order to understand what that means you should consult : http://israelagainstterror.blogspot.com/2007/12/phenomenon-of-radical-islam-or-islamism_4903.html
4. Will the Western world call for an end to this ridiculous UN
USA   (03.07.08)
They just spend their days arguing while being supported by our money. Stop this do-nothing organization that does nothing but influence the world in a bad way.
5. UN, Israel and the World
Ian G ,   Los Angeles, USA   (03.07.08)
UN is gutless. And Israel must fight by the rules of her enemies. Carpet-bomb Gaza!!! There are no civilians there - they either are militants, they support militants or they will grow up to be militants. Take out 1000 palestinians for every dead Jew - that might provoke some thinking from the Mullas - that they are exterminating their own. If Israel will allow itself to sink into false hopes of peace and liberalism - she will not survive. 1000-for-1 - that should be the course!!!
6. Libya, like most of world unpredictably anti-Israel
Michael Reising ,   Berkeley, CA.   (03.07.08)
It should be evident by now, to those who don't already realize it, like so many past Israeli PM's have, as well as my Great grandfather, Ariel Sharon, Yael Dayan and any Jews following the news and history since 1948 (and before), that besides perhaps the U.S. a few other coutries, we are alone in fighting the world for the dignity we have for thousands of years deserved, and will, alas, keep having to fight [on different levels] the world to stay alive. Period. We can go back in history and see how even Israel's earliest "allies" backed out of agreements at all times (like when France in 1956 renegged on promises to deliver weapontry the day we had to defend ourselves), and will have to end being surprized when as Woody Allen said, "the question is not why it hasn't happened again, the question is why it hasn't happened a dozen times since." It has, 1,000 times on different levels. We're in for a long haul, and we shouldn't believe our periodic allies even regardless of what they tell us."
7. The Arab girl who called for a minute of silence
Chaya ,   Bat Yam, Israel   (03.07.08)
Will she stand for a minute of silence for these eight young men???
8. UN, UNWRA, UNSC....
val ,   germany   (03.07.08)
This is just a very bad joke: Libya the head of the Counsel. We all knew, Israel has no choice to fill this place. This body along with UN itself is just a spit in the face of every conscious person.
9. Yes, yes, and definately no.
Ypip ,   Canada   (03.07.08)
1. "To see people walk into a religious school and open fire on the students there, that is really something which should give one pause, especially those who care about religion." 2. "Unfortunately, this is what happens when the Security Council is infiltrated by terrorists." 3. "If the council should take any action, it should be a balanced action and should condemn the killing in Gaza as well as the killing in Jerusalem."
10. Ambassador Gillerman
sergi ,   australia   (03.07.08)
forget to mention another 2 terrorist on SC USA who "mistakenly"shot Jumbo in Mediterranean full of people and Russia who shot Korean Airliner also full of innocent civilians. It's useful to be objective and not just oesited.

How can Israel even think of resuming peace talks? G-d is very angry - it is our duty to protect our land and our people.
