Any network who apologizes to its audience for giving stage for someone's opinions - as unpopular as they may be - is hardly a "rational voice", or "brave and realistic", as #8response (most likely a paid TB for Al-Jazeera) asserted. Especially given the fact that it never apologizes after it offends Jewish or Christian beliefs. It is not brave, it is simply biased, albeit a lesser bias than most other Arab networks. Kudos to that. In contrast, Israeli and other western media never apologize after interviewing militant Arabs who call for the destruction of Israel, or that Jews are sinners. Al Jazeera has plenty to learn about objectiveness, especially toward Israel. Still, it's in a good company with the BBC, France2, and ARTE in that respect.

Have you considered how difficult it is for them to exercise free and progressively liberal opinion in the Arab world? Have you any real perception how expensive free speech is in the Arab World! Al-Jazeera are doing a great job for the Arabs and for Muslims. But they are not biased in favour of Arabs and Muslims. They are trying to help this world get its head around its daily problems and its massive global problems. All mof which require the sort of intellect the BBC has abandoned in favour of quiz shows and soft porn dramas. Israel should pitch a news channel on satellite too. Its about time a jewish voice spoke out as loudly as this company does for the world. Television has had its day in the sun and its setting in the west in favour of the internet which has taken the place of intellectual exchange that television once had.
