But it's time to move on and embrace the new friends Israel has in Germany (Who BTW supplied Israel with Dolphin-Class submarines capable of launching nuclear warheads...Israel's MAIN deterrent against the ayatollahs).

When will those morons finally stop referring to history all the time. Those Germany does not exist any more and the times are long gone. And since when has the language been responsible for the crimes PEOPLE committed? It was the people of that generation who committed them; and 99% of the died already. The current generation of Germans is totally different; I live German, I am Jewish and I know what I am saying. I am not part of the German society, but the current system here makes it possible to have a good life. I would suggest to some Knesset members to shut up In exchange of banning the speech of one of the smartest politicians in EU. Our "parliament" is so strong in statements and so useless when it's come to act. The whole energy is spent to stupid proclamations. I grew up in Holland, 30 km from the German border. I speak German fluently. Germany is one of the most Jewish-friendly countries in Europe nowadays. Unlike France, Britain, Poland etc. SInce the British hate Jews much more than the Germans do, maybe we should ban English from the Knesset also? Perhaps we should just ban every language that has been used by antisemites throughout history? I wonder which languages, other than Hebrew, will remain. I and many other Jews speak German. Also, the Jerusalem version of Yiddish is very much like German. My boss at work is German, many of my colleagues are German - and all are Jews, Orthodox for the most part. Speaking German all day. Rav Samson Raphael Hirsch was a German, and spoke German, and wrote his books in German. German is also the language of Switzerland, which had nothing to do with the entire war. German was also the main language spoken by the Jews of Hungary. These 'MKs' are plain idiots who should grow up, instead of continuing to live in the past. Are we a nation of simpletons? Language is not the enemy. It is not the language spoken but the message. Arabic is spoken all the time there, yet it surely scares more people in Israel than german does. Moreover, the message in arabic is far more likely to be against Israel's interest. Finally, what does it say to our German friends (and yes, we have many) that we not allow their well intentioned leader to use her mother tongue in our political theatre. It is disrespectful and surely to raise the hackles of German nationalists. Why not embrace the opprotunitty to let the German language ring of peace and friendship rather than falsely insisting it stands for something else.
