1. Olmert is our national shame!

2. Somebody get this guy out of power
Eyal ,   Boca Raton, USA   (03.11.08)
This guy tells you to get used to a problem, rather than fix the problem like a man.
3. Olmert asks Israel to surrender!
eddie ,   London UK   (03.11.08)
SInce he has already surrendered to Rice and world opinion, he will not crack down on Hamas, that is why he is telling Ashkelon to get used to katyushas. This was actually one of the things that the right wing protestors would say in the days before and after Oslo - you better get used to the idea of having Katyushas landing on Israeli cities if you make "peace" with arafat. Ariel Sharon at the time warned not only of Katyushas, but also Stinger missiles, which might leak form afghansitan to Gaza, and threaten civilian aircraft. Ironically, the same ariel sharon did the 1 sided pullout form Gaza, and in his bed he remains responsible for these missiles that his illegitimate child , Olmert, is failing to address.

7. Olmert tells Israelis "get used to rockets"
Allan Leibler ,   Jerusalem   (03.11.08)
This must be the most pathetic statement ever made by an Israeli P.M. "Get used to being rocket bombed as we can't stop it". If I was a resident of Ashkelon, I would leave. Will he say the same to residents of Ashdod and then Tel Aviv in a few months? What a gutless person! There are effective solutions but our PM is committed to defeatism and has become poweless to defend hundreds of thousands of Israeli citizens. Amazing-- defies belief!.
8. he knows how to make one feel secure.
gedalia   (03.11.08)
the only thing missing is awhite flag.
9. Talk of helplessness due to poor leadership
Brod ,   USA   (03.11.08)
No way of preventing it. Has been going on for the past 60 years. Get used to it. These are excuses. Of course, Israel can wipe out these attacks. Israel can clean up the place. Israel can defeat its enemies. But it requires a Right Wing Leadership. Left Wing leadership is one of weakness, hopelessless, helplessness, appeasement, and cowing. Once Israel has a Right Wing led government all these problems will be solved. The enemies will be stamped out. They will be deterred from thinking of, planning and attacking Israel. It is time for a change of leadership. A strong government is needed as internal and external challenges mount.
10. Defeatists are not what we need to restore calm and order!!!
me ,   here   (03.11.08)
WOULD someone kindly tell Olmert to leave his position to someone more suitable?! SOON!
11. Olmert in Ashkelon
shmuel ,   ra'anana   (03.11.08)
But we are afraid, afraid of Olmert who uses the people of Israel as human shields, disposable while he spends his time protecting the rights of our enemies and giving them time to rearm, declare victory and laugh in our faces. Been there, done that you don't have to be a fortuneteller to predict our hopeless future.
12. First step towards stopping missile attacks.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (03.11.08)
Get rid of Olmert. I'd even support a military coup, anything, just get rid of this jerk.

Ehud Olmert June 2005 address to the Israel Policy Forum in New York WE ARE TIRED OF JUST GETTING USED TO IT !

19. His kids are in Paris with Suha Arafat
Roscio ,   Rome, Italy   (03.11.08)
Israel, why do you accept the garbage and insults to your children that flow from this evil man's mouth? He just told you for the umpteenth time that he doesn't care about your children, but is so concerned about the Gaza Arabs' children that he will not send the IDF to stop the missiles. G-d forbid, do you want your child to be next? THROW THIS EVIL GOV'T OUT NOW BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE - WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!?!?!?!
20. This is Olmert's form of "deterrence"
LEE ,   NY, USA   (03.11.08)
Thank you to all the Kadima voters. Next time, please stay at home.
21. We must find a way to throw him out!
Millie ,   Israel   (03.11.08)
It's agreed. Nearly everyone hates this bastard. It's one thing to mouth off, but it's another to take action. We must unite, from all sides, to pry him out of his office. He and his lackeys are destroying the country. What are our options (since he's coopted the court system)? 1. IDF coup - the best and surest thing until new elections and a revamped regional voting system is in place. Problem: the IDF has been internally weakened and will be frightened to take such a bold step. 2. Country-wide strikes and civil disobedience. The best of all routes because it involves everyone. Problems: Needs lots of organizing to be effective against an uncaring and self-absorbed government. 3. The Opposition should get off it's fat backside and DO something for a change. Problem: They're too chicken.
22. i mean
gamba & pilpel   (03.11.08)
if they attack us and we can't defend ourselves from the single ones, why can't be just erase all gaza and west bank? we need more parking lots...
23. can't prevent rocket fire
bear ,   zefat   (03.11.08)
Get aprime minister with some gumption .!
24. Till when will this clown last?????
trumpeldor ,   eurabian delice   (03.11.08)
He has a talent for political survival iut he is the worst Israeli pm ever !!! In Europe,he would be the norm... In Israel, the country cannot afford such a burden !!!! OUT!!!
25. My same old song
Sidney ,   USA   (03.11.08)
As I read all the comments, I can't resist saying this again. The problem is not Olmert but the political whores who keep him in power. They care more about their personal perks than the country.
26. I better if he had to live in Sderot he would find solutions
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (03.11.08)
Let's move the Knesset and him to Sderot until we can finally put him where he belongs - behind bars.
27. perhaps we should find a PM with solutions to our problems
aaron ,   ra'anana   (03.11.08)
28. To all the scums posting in here
(03.11.08)
Do you have a solution ?
29. Sderot, Ashkelon, Sha'ar Haneguev: terrible ordeal...
Flavio ,   Sao Paulo, Brazil   (03.11.08)
I believe the development of a protective system/shield against Qassams, Grads & Katyushas must be a top priority for Israeli defense establishment! Promote fund raising campaigns in the Diaspora, if needed, to boost the effort, something ought to be done immediately to stop this vicious bombing!
30. If Hezbollah can hold fire so can Hamas
Sam ,   Canada   (03.11.08)
Hamas has been holding its fire because of the destruction in the last Israeli incursion just as Hezbollah is holding fire because of the destruction in the Lebanese war. The lesson is that the Arabs don't like seeing their territory destroyed.
