want women and children to believe that the men in the village have all the power, regardless of laws and Israeli authorities. It is soooo usual. What do they do with their sisters and daughters who want to marry the wrong man? What do they do to the man? What do they do to their wives who want to get a divorce? What do they do to their children if they don't obey? I have been living and working in a village like this for decades. This is just a very normal outlet of their mentality as standing above the law, having all rights but no obligations!!! Hang them!

The BBC and co. make it a point of sowing the seeds of discord in Israel by referring to the Arab citizens of Israel as "Palestinians in Israel". If this incident gets reported in the international media, it will be reported as a crime perpetrated by Israelis against a Palestinian. In the event that it is revealed that these Israelis were in fact Arabs, then Israel will get blamed for engineering an artificial difference between fellow Palestinians, by deliberately turning the Arabs in Israel into hired brutes against their own people. See if this does not prove to be the case!

I've come to expect nothing better from their collective ilk, but it is the sentences that the judge handed them! 2 to 3 years for what the judge stated is one of the most despicable and horrific acts he has ever seen!? Why went they jailed for 20 or 30 years? I truly believe the problems all our societies face stem from the flaccid response our courts display in front of constant, repeated disrespect and destain of the law. These men were encouraged to do this again by this judge and you can bet the next victim will not be Arab!

I agree with Joe (#8), this sentence is woefully inadequate for the barbarity shown by the perpetrators. What kind of message is this sending? A few days ago Israeli Arabs found guilty of an attempted honor killing were jailed for at least 20 years. That is more like it.
