Firstly, I hope you will take the time to bash Obama when he comes to Israel and that you aren't just taking advantage of this trip by McCain to bash him. Second, most Americans and Israelis share in the values of freedom and democracy. Israel, as you may not know, was re-established in 1947 as a Jewish state, meant for Jews. At the very least, even you must admit that Israel provides those freedoms to Jews. Go look at the Muslim and Arab states and see if those governments provide those same freedoms to their fellow Muslims. As to whether Israel should be obligated to provide freedoms to Arabs, this space is too small to debate such a large topic, but I will say that Israel, as a Jewish state, can choose to bestow certain rights upon Jews just as the USA, as an American country can choose to bestow certain rights, such as residency rights, upon Americans only and not Mexicans or Canadians. Arabs in Israel not associated with violence must be treated with dignity but (1) they do not deserve the rights of citizens and (2) they should be assisted to find a home outside the Jewish state in one of the other 24 Arab/Muslim countries of the world where they can live in peace.
