1. Security Takes Precedence Over Civil Rights
Reuven Brauner ,   Raanana, Israel   (03.20.08)
Just ask anyone killed in a terrorist attack what he prefers.
2. Article is slanted with no explanation by the Israeli govt.
Lemmings Hotline ,   sd usa   (03.20.08)
A balanced article would have interviewed the Israeli and /or American authorities and presented their side as well. It might have read like this: US Arabs travelling to Judea may have terrorist ties, and we are continuing are diligence and cooperation with the PA in this matter. You need help, YNET
3. Does anyone remember how British citizens carried out a
Leo ,   TA   (03.20.08)
terrorist attack in Tel Aviv a few years ago?? Do we have short memories? I thought the right to stay alive was also a civil right?
4. 84% of Palestinians support the attack on religious students
WithLove ,   Newark, USA   (03.20.08)
75% support shorter lines at the airport
5. Entirely appropriate given latest Palestinian initiative
Raymond from DC ,   Washington, DC USA   (03.20.08)
The plan for Palestinians to "return" to Israel by land and sea to mark Israel's 60th anniversary has made it legitimate for Israel to challenge the entry of even US citizens of Palestinian origin.
6. SYMPATHISERS TO MOSLEM EXTREMISTS EXIST ALL OVER THE WORLD
ROLAND SEENER ,   LONDON ENGLAND   (03.20.08)
SYMPATHISERS WITH A POSSIBLE CAUSE THAT THE STATE OF ISRAEL DEEMS CO-ERCIVE SHOULD BE SCREENED,EFFECTIVELLY,AND TURNED AWAY.SECURITY CANNOT BE COMPROMISED ONE IOTA, IT IS UNFORTUNATE THAT TERRORISTS HAVE CUNNING WAYS TO ACCOMPLISH THEIR OBJECTIVES.IT IS THEREFORE UNFORTUNATE THAT THE BULK OF THESE ACTIVITIES SHOULD COME FROM THE MOSLEM COMMUNITY,ESPECIALLY "ARAB SYMPATHISERS" OF WHICH THERE COULD BE MANY IN THE U.S.A..THIS IS AN UNFORTUNATE SITUATION,BUT THIS IS THE REALITY,FOR WHICH "ISRAEL"HAS EVERY RIGHT TO TAKE PRECAUTIONS
7. Dual nationality!!!
Seraphya ,   Petach Tikva, Israel   (03.20.08)
As an Israeli citizen and an American citizen, I have to travel with an Israeli travel document. Is the American government in telling me that discriminating against all Jews?! And whats all this about anti-Arab? This is clearly about Palestinians, not all Arabs. It is a legitimate thing for countries to have different rules for different travelers. For instance in Poland I don't need a visa if I am American, but if I was south African I would.
8. can jewish americans travel completely freely to arab states
kobi ,   australia   (03.20.08)
9. We need an affirmative action policy !!!
rh ,   Modiin Israel   (03.20.08)
The terrorist profession has been discriminating against people on the basis of age and religion. We need to institute a policy which will make terrorists more representative of society. A quota system needs to be established to ensure terrorists represent a cross section of society. See South African Cricket selectors for details.
10. when palestinians behave like terrorists, what do you expect
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (03.20.08)
when palestinians COMMIT terror, and when palestinians SUPPORT these things ('84% of Palestinians back Mercaz attack' - http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1205420730237&pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FShowFull ) what do you expect? since palestinians scream all day and night about "justice", here you go. enjoy!
11. The arabs support terrorism. THAT IS WHY THEY ARE SUSPECT
hymie zoltsveis ,   NYC, NY, USA   (03.20.08)
The muslims should be happy and appreciative that Israel even allows them into the nation. They are disloyal, and clearly seek Israel's destruction. If these slimeballs don't like the rules, DON'T fly into Israel. Fly into a terrorist nation. They'll feel right at home.
12. We are at War with the Palestinians
Esther ,   Ofarim, Israel   (03.20.08)
You can't make war on Israel and expect a warm, fuzzy reception. Dual nationality Palestinians have been known to commit terror attacks as well. Don't like it? Tough. Don't come here.
13. Arabs could use Jordanain or Egyptian airportsas they wish
gabriela ben ari ,   jerusalem   (03.20.08)
14. Second Class Citizens?
Shoshi ,   Jerusalem   (03.20.08)
It's not an issue of whether Palestinians are second-class citizens of America (they should be grateful they got American citizenship at all!) but an issue of potential security risks - and rightly so. These Arab organizations are always making a big stink about these situations to get bleeding hearts to feel sorry for them. Why do the Arabs always have to cry about everything. Suck it up and smell the Kahki, oops, coffee.
15. How many of these dual nationals are shipping money to
Steven Wilson ,   Anchorage, Alaska   (03.20.08)
finance the terrorists? How many of them are supporting the murder of Jews, by their terrorist activities in the United States? I'm sure the Irish got a few questions asked in Great Britain, when they went traveling. They have access from Egypt or Jordan. They are not living in a vacuum. Israel is the one surrounded by hostile neighbors.
16. That is more sensible than the American policy at airports
Rivkah   (03.20.08)
that does NOT single out young and middle aged Middle Eastern looking males. At least the Israelis KNOW who their likely enemies are while Americans pretend not to know. How is it that Pals from America can even GET visas to Israel?
17. #3 Leo is spot on: THE RIGHT TO STAY ALIVE IS PARAMOUNT.
Scott   (03.20.08)
Why say anymore? The only people against this are happy for terror events to occur.
18. US PA security delays
I.Kemp ,   Nahariya Israel   (03.20.08)
Very necessary especially as we keep hearing about "terror cells" in America
19. PA papers
Yehuda ,   Ashdod, Israel   (03.20.08)
I don't see how this is any different from the requirement that an Israeli-American must enter and leave the country on his Israeli passport. And if this causes him a hassle with the army or police, it's just tough. Why do we have to treat our enemies and their sympathizers better than we treat ourselves?
20. At least a year old
Elianah ,   Los Angeles, CA   (03.20.08)
This section of the travel warning is at least a year old. It gets cut and pasted into the new travel warning every time a new one was issued. And it's been on the US Dept. of State's country information page for Israel for over a year. Are people just now actually reading this? Why is it news?
21. Security is the name of the game
Avi ,   Haifa   (03.20.08)
Israel's security considerations precede Palesitinian Americans feeling. In fact, this is a matter of Israel's soverign decision.
22. Palestinians belong to an enemy entity
Millie ,   Israel   (03.20.08)
Of course they should be scrutinized when entering Israel. Actually, they shouldn't be arriving here at all! The US State Dept. is notoriously anti-Israel and very hypocritical. You can be sure that Palestinians undergo searches and security check when entering the US.
23. No place for terrorists anywhere.
petra ,   usa   (03.20.08)
24. Arab Civil rights groups
Jason ,   New York   (03.20.08)
I wonder if these so called Arab Civil rights groups have a problem if a US citizen has their passport stampled with an Israeli stamp, and can't get into an Arab country.
25. Reply to No 14
Decent Human ,   Madrid   (03.20.08)
Palestinians were kicked out of their homes because of you and your parents. With a statement such as yours (they should be grateful they got American citizenship at all!) no wonder people all over the world hate you Zionists! Are you willing to give them back their homes? Or are you going to keep killing what is left of them and nag about terrorism!?
26. Hey idiot!That's for you #25!
Keren ,   Israel-SP   (03.20.08)
Before biting as a mad dog, prove you know something about our ancient and recent history. Go,show you know it mad dog! PROVE YOU POINT MAD DOG!
27. US Citizenship
Mikesailor ,   Miami   (03.20.08)
If US citizens cannot travel freely and with the respect shown to all, then the US should protest and not give Israeli citizens a free ride. They are AMERICAN citizens. I am ashamed of the racist posts on this talkback from so-called Americans who apparently believe that " All Americans are equal but some are more equal than others"
28. Misinformed Bigots
Edmund ,   United States   (03.20.08)
All americans are free to travel into arab countries without interrogation no matter what their ethinicity or religion. Those of you who claim otherwise are either A) not American or B) Never travelled And Palestinians can't hold dual citizenship, you are either american or not. So this law affects Palestinians who are ONLY american citizens. stop being bigots
29. I am an American Jew who cannot travel to Arab countries
Fairness for all! ,   NY   (03.20.08)
because I have Israeli entry stamps on my passport. If I wanted to enter any arab state, I would have to get a second passport and them MAYBE I would be allowed entry. Those organizations who cry the loudest has never cried out about this insult to Jewish Americans. Again we see a double standard.
30. Daily flights from the U.S. to Amman and Cairo
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (03.20.08)
There is no need for Palestinianians visiting "Palestine" to go through airport where they might get their widdle feeeeeeeeelings hurt!
