1. not anti-Israeli, Guigue is right
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (03.24.08)
Bruno Guigue is entirely correct that any nation that sanctions snipers shooting little girls has an inhuman offensive culture. Such a nation should be isolated and punished. This is not anti-Israeli or anti-semitic, rather it is a refreshingly moral view. Sadly Guigue made a mistake. He must have thought ten-month old Shalhevet Pass shot in the head in the arms of her father was an Arab girl. I expect Guigue to correct his mistake and condemn the culture which sanctioned and celebrated her murder. Shalhevet was murdered on 26 March 2001, 7 years less two days ago.

4. Freedom of Speech!
Truly France ,   Paris   (03.24.08)
Oh you've got to be kidding me! So let me get this straight, it is OK to label an entire nation as terrorists by depecting their prophet as one and insulting 1.5 billion worldwide. BUT god forbid to open your mouth and say your opinion about israel's crimes and insult 6 million citizens! Again, did you say Europe enjoys the bliss called freedom of speech? WOW
5. Mercaz Harav: only Pal terrorists murder kids in schools
Zvi   (03.24.08)
As usual, the truth doesn't meet their needs, so the anti-Semites simply lie, and lie, and lie.
6. So where is the freedom of speech ????
(03.24.08)
BASTARDS !!!
7. #1 Those don't count - terrorist factions are not an empire

8. #4: The difference
Global Citizen ,   Israel & USA   (03.24.08)
is that her words will incite many to violence against more than just Israelis (that means you, too), whereas non-Muslims won't change their opinions about idolatry of Mohammad from just a cartoon. You need to wake up and "get" it.
9. No different than Nazi propaganda.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (03.24.08)
This is no different than the anti-Semitic propaganda campaign made by the Nazis & other fascist parties in the 1920's & 1930"s.
10. #3 Yes barbarian you are correct !

11. This crazy women. She should look at the statistics!!
Sam Wrinberger ,   CA   (03.24.08)
But again: Additional data (included in previous table) Occupied Territories Israel Palestinian minors killed by Israeli security forces 885 3 Israeli minors killed by Palestinians 39 80 http://www.btselem.org/English/Statistics/Casualties.asp http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A16886-2004Nov27.html http://edition.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/meast/11/04/mideast/index.html Its not like the number of young minors killed by Israeli soldiers is small. It certainly is 10 times larger than the number of minors killed by Pals. Just my two cents.
12. French racism #2 you are 100% right
Vicky ,   Ashkelon Israel   (03.24.08)
It has gone deeper than that, It started in Britiain 1,000 years ago, the rest of Europe and Eastern Europe followed it through. The crusades set out to destroy the muslims, and also stood in the blood of not just Muslims, but Jews and even Christians. The Europeans still torture. the Pals are notorious for it - even to their own - BUT I have yet to see a prisoner from an Israeli prison come out with scars from it, or looking like something from Belsen. Our courts for one would not put up with it. I can remember Arafarts lot throwing babies off a high rise building in the North of Israel, in full veiw of the media. The same done by POLICE to lost Israelies from a police window in GAZA where the Pals only too eagerly tore what remained of them to pieces. Just like Jackels. SO WHO are the evil ones?
13. #7 huh?
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (03.24.08)
What are you trying to say?
14. #13 - I was trying to be ironic. Sorry.
Global Citizen ,   Israel & USA   (03.24.08)
I was attempting a justification for the twisted logic of this blind woman and her believers.
15. July 2001 - Shalhevet Paz

A 10 months old baby girl deliberately targeted and shot in the head by a Palestinian sniper. Rest in Peace, Sweet Baby Girl! You are not forgotten.

Do you hear me FRANCE ?My foot
17. No worry for Bruno Gogue's career
Raphael ,   Netanya   (03.24.08)
He was not fired, only moved from his minor position. No doubt he will be cheerfully greeted by Quai d'Orsay, where he belongs to the mainstream antisemitic and homosexual trend. He is only punished for issuing loudly the very ideas of minister Alliot Marie herself, who is heading the "french libyan friendship association".
18. Freedom of Speech Now a Concern?
Thomas   (03.24.08)
It was a freedom of speech issue when a play featuring the severed head of Mohammed (among other religious figures) was cancelled to avoid offending Muslims. How about freedom of speech to publish cartoons about Mohammed and Gert Wilder's film about the koran. You would think Muslims would be sensitive about publishing any kind of incitement against any religious groups, lest being rightly accused of hypocrisy.
19. French Hepocrisy
gadees ,   Vanco.   (03.24.08)
The guy is stating a fact.Give me a country where Americans are not involved, beside Israel, that have the high rate of fatalities among civilians caused by the occupational force. Israel by all means,is the one and only which carries daily shows of death and destruction among Palestinians.
20. And they are preaching about Freedom of Speech day & night !

25. #17:Oh, really? I thought it’s vice versa!
Anna ,   Montreal, Canada   (03.24.08)
The Arabs of Gaza and now called West bank but actually Yehuda and Samaria who came from the other Arab countries in search of better living now trying to get what they are not having moral rights to call the Arab land. And what about Christian Arabs who afraid to complain, and nobody is talking loud about their tragic but silenced exodus from their own cities because of the Muslim brothers are frightening and intimidating them daily? They are outnumbered. But they can tell you much more about the real terrorists in this part of the word
26. Thank you, #23!
Daniel ,   NYC   (03.24.08)
I kept scrolling down, looking for one poster to point out the obvious: there is a HUGE difference between ANY private citizen voicing ANY opinion, and a public servant posting opinions. A cartoonist and a documentary film-maker (as mentioned in previous posts) do not take oaths for their positions, so it follows that they have no legal responsibility for the nature of such opinions (barring the possible exception of hate speech legislation). This is the case in pretty much any Western country I can think of, and anyone who suggests that this is a freedom of speech issue should consider that a public servant may choose, at any time, to become a cartoonist and publish whatever fantasy they wish to delude themselves with.
27. Undeniable
Khalil ,   Cairo, Egypt   (03.24.08)
No one can truly counter her arguments. Israel may not be the ONLY country where this happens, but it surely is the country where most of it happens. You cannot deny it, you'd be fooling yourselves. You chosen people need to rid yourselves of this inferiority complex and this defensiveness whereby whenever Zionists/Jews are criticized you cry out for anti-antisemitism. You need to right your wrongs so that Hashem will forgive you for your rape and pillage of our lands - because by the looks of it we certainly will not.
28. Israel is the only country
israeli ,   israel   (03.24.08)
where children are shot dead in their beds by what is called "resistance": http://www.peacewithrealism.org/metzer.htm Israel is the only country where children are executed by the "resistance" movement while still in their mother's womb or travelling in their mother's car: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tali_Hatuel. Israel is the only country where children are blown up by the "resistance" while riding a bus to school going or having a pizza. Mind you, these were not Arab children. I wonder whether Israeli soldiers captured by Arabs (whether Egypt, Syria, Hamas, Hizbollah, etc) are/were allowed to rest on Fridays, due to religious laws.
29. she would feel very comfortable in 'olmert's cabinet
chaim ,   brooklyn n.y   (03.24.08)
this antisemetic swine, should move to israel, where she will get a job in olmert's government, she would feel very much at home there, with the rest of the self hating traitorous cowards
30. Thomas, #18
israeli ,   israel   (03.24.08)
Well, seeing what happened to Salman Rushdie, Waffa Sultan, Theo van Gogh, and probably many more, I would say that freedom of speech is now a great concern for those who want to express some kind of criticism of Islam.
