1. Trees absorb greenhouse gases

Although it is true that trees absorb green house gases, especially carbon dioxide, if the tree is burnt (cut down or forest fire) then all the gases are released back into the atmosphere. The tree needs to rot to actually get rid of the gases it has absorbed during its lifetime. Anyway, I love trees and more power to those who plant them.........

How about cleaning up the beaches, air, rivers ,streams and coastal (sea) locations first ? This must be the most self polluted country on earth.

Your idea of cleaning up stuff is a good one, although I doubt that Israel is the "most self polluted country on earth". There seems to be plenty of self pollution in African countries, central Asia, China, and India...
