Olmert has no credibility in security matters. He boasts, and is arrogant as yitzaki said.He is capable of giving back all the territories before he loses elections. If he does that and he may succeed, he and his families' lives will be in mortal danger by israelis, I have no doubt. The chance now is to acheive security within peace by having the other side get to it. I think that people need to help acheive this and let Mr.Abbas restore the unity and have this insecurity despear. Syria should ask Israel for peace and offer in exchange the Golan. But of course that will not happen. So, there is no reason for Israel to be generous with the Mafia regime of Assad. The rule of the Assads is not aimed at improving the lot of their people or forwarding a particular ideology.
