Your victory is from God.
2. If a rocket falls below Haifa, Israel must obliterate S Leb
Eric ,   New York   (03.27.08)
Everything south of the Litani MUST be flattened if but one rocket lands below Haifa. It's the only way to preserve Israel's deterence; if Israel doesn't respond in this manor, the rockets won't stop and Israel will never live in security. Of course, I'd expect some Israeli plan to induce civilians to leave S Lebanon.
3. Nothing to worry about ....
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (03.27.08)
They won't attack until Iran has nuclear weapons. Go back to sleep.
4. Way to go UNIFIL!!!
mb   (03.27.08)
Another job well done.

Abir ,   Chicago, IL   (03.27.08)
So if the rockets hit Haifa or the North, then its OK by you, but South of Haifa is unacceptable. Problem with your approach is that Haifa and North of it becomes an ex-territory, with second class citizens. Do you by the same token endorse that rockets falling on Sderot & Ashkelon are acceptable, but beyond that requires retaliation????
6. No Control
Richard ,   London UK   (03.27.08)
Developed secretly from 1956 after France built a nuclear reactor at Dimona in the Negev desert, Nuclear weapons were seen by Israel's first generation of leaders as designed to prevent a second Holocaust - an argument that was translated into a formidable arsenal outside any international controls. Israel, unlike Saddam Hussein's Iraq, never signed the nuclear non-proliferation treaty, the 1970 agreement which allows countries to develop civilian nuclear power in exchange for forgoing weapons. These are supposed to be the preserve of the five permanent members of the UN security council. In recent years India, Pakistan and North Korea have swelled the ranks of the weapons states, but unlike them Israel has never come out of the nuclear closet, preferring a policy of so-called nuclear ambiguity -

each will pay for an attack
10. GRATEFULL
DAVID ,   JUDEA   (03.27.08)
We can thank Olmert and co for their far reaching proactive skilled leadership . Surprisingly Ynet escapes their own form of censorship for a brief minute before lulling us back to sleep. But without a doubt we will see a couple of articles snowing us in with some reassurring empty statements by our great leaders. Anyone who thinks that our buddies of Hezbullah will not use their firecrackers is on drugs. Ofcourse our government will be ok with a casualty and damage estimate, without any pre emptive action. In good old English " we are sitting ducks".
11. Get Ready
mori   (03.27.08)
Israel is doing zero, zippo, nada, nothing. etc. about rocket attacks and every type of provication. Perhaps Israel is preserving the weopons on hand for something big. Really Big. Perhaps Israel and the US are preparing for a Very Big and Sudden Attack against Iran that will leave everyone breathless. Maybe not. If not then time to counter attack, each and every rocket with no less than a 10,000 dead arabs. Grind them up and make fertilizer out of them or food for a pig farm.
12. Thanks Olmert, you could of stopped this from happening!
Jay3 ,   Israel   (03.27.08)
If the inept appeasing fool would of finished them off during last Lebanon war, we wouldn't be in this vulnerable position. Olmert has done more long term damage to Israel than any other politician i can think of. We can not afford to have him at the reigns in the next war.....its a question of Israels existance! Elections Now before we are destroyed!!
13. #10 Agrees Totally with u! Definetly we will use them :)
fadi ,   lebanon   (03.27.08)
14. i remember the words of that great leader OLMERT who in 2006
fadi ,   lebanon   (03.27.08)
spoke that the war will not stop until hizbullah is not only disarmed but destroyed ! And other great leader Barak who said in 2008 that the campaign on Gaza will not stop until Qassam rocket fire stops!
15. Still want to attack Iran's nuclear reactor?
IRAN#1   (03.27.08)
Maybe you'll have second thoughts now...yeah I figured so! Parity is a wonderful concept.
16. to Iran#1, your country can spend its time striving for
jared ,   orlando   (03.27.08)
military parity, or it can work on social, cultural, religious, scientific and ideological "parity" It would make Iran as well as the region a better place. And, there are strong cases to be made for nuclear weapons in israel, not so (in fact far from it ) for Iran. And, as such, an attack , should the circumstances come to it, may be justified against iranian nuclear facilities. Many Iranians call themselves Persian. Many iranians today could learn a lot from the Ancient persians, with which they share little. Their language, religion, politics, customs, traditions, art, music, and societal dynamics are sorely missed in the wake of at least todays iran, at least with the government
17. Syria
Meir ,   Toronto   (03.27.08)
If rockets are launched the difference with the last war will be the destruction of much of the Syrian military infrastructure, including the air force. The lesson learned should be that trying to attack 20,000 rockets is virtually impossible. The source-Syria-will no longer be immune. Israel must take control of the situation by not playing into Syrian/Iranian games of chicken. Target Syria and the rockets cease!
18. #15 - oh -- you mean iran already has the bomb?
(03.27.08)
Didn't think so.
19. northerners' problem solved
observer   (03.27.08)
it has become all-over-country problem.
20. strange
Joseph ,   israel   (03.27.08)
I guess we should be thankful that Ehud Barak destroyed the SLA so that Hizbolla could get armed. I guess we should thank Olmert and Livni for bringing in UNIFIL to protect Hezbolla and allow them to rearm. Since these three are so clever, we should let them strengthen Abbas in Judea and Samaria and give the Golan to Syria. They have proven they know what they are doing.
21. " GOD," OLMART AND BLUFF= SURVIVAL
ROLAND SEENER ,   LONDON ENGLAND   (03.27.08)
ENEMIES MUST BE MADE AWARE THAT WAR IS A TWO WAY THING . THEIR THREATS ARE ALSO THE MIRROR IMAGES OF THEIR OWN DESTRUCTION... THEIR CITIES CAN BE DEVASTATED AS THEY PLAN SO TO DO TO ISRAEL WILL BE DONE TO THEM. HOWEVER TO PREVENT WAR, WE TOO MUST SABRE RATTLE OUR WEAKNESS LIES IN GOVERNMENT ,HAD IT BEEN FRENCH..IT. WOULD HAVE HERALDED A LONG OVERDUE REVOLUTION....MORALLE IS IMPORTANT AND ROUSING SPEECHES SO NECESSARY IN TIMES OF DANGER HAVE NOT BEEN FORTHCOMMING .. THE "FINAL CHAPTERS OF OUR BOOK OFCATASTROPHES IMUST NEVER BE WRITTEN.. THE LEADERSHIP HAS ITS FAULTS.THE BASIC ONE BEING LEADERSHIP WE HAVE NOT GOT IT NOW, NOR WILL WE HAVE IT IN THE FUTURE UNLESS THERE IS A NEW TEAM IS INSTALLED PRIOR TO OPENING OFHOSTILITIES .FOR WHICH REASON AN EFFECTIVE NEW "A 1" TEAM IS QUICKLY INSTALLED.AN AILING OLMART SHOULD BE AWARE OF PUBLIC ALARM WITH HIS ADMINISTRATION AND STEP ASIDE ,THUS ALLOWING FOR NEW ELECTIONS.
22. So what!!

Israel can reach all of Lebanon...
23. #15: Any strike on Israel kills more Arabs/Muslims than Jews
Global Citizen ,   Israel & USA   (03.27.08)
You can excuse that with your "martyrdom" foo-foo all you want, but not all of your ilk think their earthly lives are worthless.
24. Getting scared, Israel?
(03.27.08)
25. No one is going to strike anything.
mohammad reza ,   Iran   (03.28.08)
All that Arabs want is a level playing field so that they can bring Israel to the table with realistic objectives. I my opinion if Israel did not have piles of nuc warheads countries like Iran would never seek nuclear technology.
26. only deterents
Max ,   USA   (03.28.08)
Israel may now have enough incentives to think seriously about peace and stop nibbling at Arab land. Irael is now in a good position for permanent peace and anyone who thinks Irael could be whiped out is dead wrong.

There is no future for the Israel in the MIddle East, Israel should be relocated to Belize in Central America, where the jews can flurish, and prosper . without the US help Israel cannot survive more than 24 hours, and America is not going to support the Israel forever.

NK+ ,   NYC, USA   (03.29.08)
"Many Iranians call themselves Persian. Many iranians today could learn a lot from the Ancient persians, with which they share little." Here you are completely wrong and ignorant. The strength of Iranians today is their cultural vitality and it has remained the same for 3000 years. We have always practiced it strongly and for you to make this statement is an insult, but i forgive you as it was probably an ignorantly made one. Go meet some Iranians ;)
30. Syria all alone so were the Israelites RIGHT ???
M. S. ,   mpls america   (03.29.08)
