61. Everyone speaks of what God wants?
Josh   (04.05.08)
I read these talkbacks and was surprised how many people speak about how God wants this or that for the animals benefit. I thought only prophets could deliver Gods words. Mark me if I am wrong, but I watch the nature channel and I don't see the food chain in nature cuddling animals when they are consumed. We know from the stories of the forefathers that hunting was OK. So where do we get this idea that "God" wants an animals death to be entirely painless? I think it is rabbinical to limit Jews by stating that animals cannot be killed in any way except as they state. Rabbis eliminated hunting and installed kosher certification. This seems more political and money making off of the Jews than Torah. As we know even David hunted and we know salt invalidates the afternoon sacrifice, which we know Jews ate from this sacrifice. I would argue that it is humane to kill as painless as possible but not a biblical requirement. Clearly the Rabbis lean more in PETAs direction than the direction that the chain of life represents in the wild. I recall a story of a animal group rescuing a seal from an oil slick. They spent large amounts of money to restore the animals health. This while children are abandon in the cities. After all their efforts they restored the seal and to much fanfare they released the seal into the ocean. People applauded as the seal happily swan to sea but within seconds a killer whale swooped in and made a quick meal of this "saved" animal. This summarizes my view of PETA type groups. They are the type to tell a black widow spider not to breed. They think they can speak for God when I think God's creation speaks for him and his actions. From His design of the world, we see with our open eyes and not with wishful thinking. Man is superior and all the animals of the earth were given to us to rule over. PETA groups want us to come down from that position and look into the eyes of the animal as if they are humans as if the killer whales are murderers of seals. This view simply states that these animal hugers are mentally distant from human counterparts. Of course with the curses upon us and people well engaged in sin, the delicate whose feet have never touched the ground would chose a seal over an abandon baby or a family member. This is all the more reason why we should fear “not” returning to Torah more than we should fear following it. I will have my chicken sandwich and watch the nature channel where the lion eats his quarry, both kings of our dominion. The result of doing Torah is the restoration of TRUE good. And if prophecy is correct the sooner we get there, the sooner the lion will lay down with the lamb and PETA will have its wish.

Because the word "meat" is just used because it's more aesthetically pleasing to you. if you went around saying, yeah, i'll have my flesh medium rare please!, no one would eat flesh anymore. so you make eating flesh appear to be ok by calling it meat. that's why.

But the Temple was actually a slaughterhouse, and the linen vestments of the priests were stained red with the blood of their victims. And terms like the "altar of the Lord," obscure the fact that what is being talked about is the killing and butchering of helpless victims, in the name of God. Said Rabbi Yochanan ben Zakkai.. . When the Roman armies destroyed the Temple in Jerusalem, Rabbi Yochanan ben Zakkai told the people that gazed upon the destroyed Temple and cried out, ~ "Woe to us! The place where Israel obtained atonement for sins is in ruins!"" Rabbi Jochanan said to his followers,~ "Be not distressed. We still have an atonement equally efficacious, and that is the practice of benevolence, as God says, 'For I desire mercy, not sacrifice.'" Talula, now watch the Zealots Attack Rabbi Yochanan ben Zakkai Talula, We are with you, and we will prevail.~~ G-D speaks to US , and not JUST to the Zealots...and they know it. It Will Stop because it is wrong..! . .
