Anti-haredi campaign in mass media always starts prior to Knesset elections. The ruling elite, unable or unwilling to solve the real problems of the country and to defend it from the real threats, diverts the public frustration to the "worst enemy" - the Torah Jews. The Jews are always to blame for all ills.

The Haredi community is actually more on top of rooting out this evil from its community than the seculars are. What a shame none of the resident Haredi-bashers here can read.

That really is common in some cultures, such as among the Japanese according to the book; so it is shocking but not unusual for Haredim to do that, too.

The problem of reporting sexual abuse in the haredi community could be solved overnight if only the laws made it a crime NOT to report such behavior to the authorities immediately. There is little motivation for a rabbi or other religious figure to report such activities, so making it a crime punishable by prison might loosen their tongues more often and save victims more readily.

some of this wouldn't happen. I wonder if this 'female' was also abused as a child? Just curious. Most are. Treat everyone equally well as you would yourself(without childhood molestation that is) and life is much sweeter. "Do unto others as ye would have them do unto you".

After all secular people are always saying that they don't want Haredim to interfere in their lives. Don't we own them the same respect that we want from them?
