Elieser ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (04.05.08)
Why is there no outcry from the entire muslim world after "Fitna" against Bin Laden. The movie shows only what the Islamists provide, it is just a document, nothing else. The muslims have to stop such things and to fight that.
34. # 27 You'd Have to Be a Fool to Doubt Fitna
Thomas   (04.05.08)
It shows Muslims in their own words and deeds. You can't deny Muslim clerics said these things nor that Muslim tv stations authorized ther broadcast. As far as terrorism and crime go, Fitna was fightfully brief is showing the truth. "Religiously speaking, the Koraan acknowledges all religions, and is so clear and obvious." The Koran acknowledges that all other religions need to be subjugated and humiliated before Islam.
35. Christian Zionists are wonderful people

For some strange reason, I find it disturbing that you can, more or less, spell correctly and use proper grammar, and still say things like "but 96% is a huge number, 96 is actually a 'round 100'...that means, if you want, you could blame all of it on muslims..." By your doubly fallacious line of thought, the same logic also holds true: (i) 50.01% of talkback users are uneducated racists who propose one form or another of doing away with democratic institutions, (ii) 50.01 is actually "a 'round 100,'" (iii) therefore, we can blame all stupid racist acts and reductions in democratic institutions on talkback users. My conclusion: statistics are doubly dangerous for those who don't understand conditionality.

33: Elieser, ther IS a loud outcry. So many Muslims, and so many clerics are outraged. But it is not to the advantage of ynet to report these incidents here. There are Muslims over the world doing so much good, being so productive, helping others...why are those people not given any platform? And I would say the same also for Israelis. And they are not a handful. There are lots and lots. You say the movie shows only what Islamists provide, and you are absolutely right. Count how many mosques there are over the world...do you think in all these mosques the same message is being sent? No. The majority of clerics provide the message that is universal to human kind: be good to your neighbour as you are good to yourself, be kind, be generous, do not lie or kill or steal, etc. The links ive provided show some of those messages. 34- yes, it is showing the truth about terrorism and also about how dangerous ignorance can be. go read the entirety of the koran with an open mind first

I often find your posts refreshing, because, at least, you are usually attempting to find common ground, which is unlike most of the talkback users (on all sides) that I've read so far. This was, unfortunately, not one of your better posts: 1. You expose your obvious bias in the first line of the second paragraph. This does nothing to help your argument, which, as you yourself say, is a different point altogether. In any case, since you wrote it, here's my response: Do you really believe that Zionists are stupid? That would be an interesting case to hear, considering the number of Israeli intellectuals at the top of their respective fields. 2. Whether or not the filmmaker is an "expert" on something is irrelevant to a criticism of that documentary. It's not a doctoral thesis. Whether or not he examines his own religion is also irrelevant, as he is not presenting a film on his own religion (of which there are plenty of distasteful examples already documented). 3. You muddy all of your arguments with the appeal to common ground of "there is but one God." This is an idiotic move, logically speaking, as you are flatly ruling out the legitimacy of many religions. You go on to explain that this one God of yours happens to be the God of "everything and everyone," but neglect to explain the obvious discrepancy between these two views of yours. 4. You end by claiming that Canadians convert to Islam because they see a truth in the Koran. That may be true, but it has nothing to do with your argument against Mr. Wilder's film. The cyanide kool-aid bunch also saw truth in some loony's prophecies, but I presume that you would not. Correct me if I'm wrong. All in all, you do make two effective points (unfortunately buried in heaps of trash): (1) that the film takes your religion out of context, dehistoricizes it and incompletely examines it; and (2) that it is up to Muslims to fight Islamists' unjust actions. I believe that you are correct in these points. Most of all, I'd like to applaud the second point and respectfully suggest that you make your own documentaries on (a) the people you believe to be correctly following the teachings of Islam, or (b) the damage that biased and incomplete documentaries can do. Maybe (b) could start with Michael Moore?

"Zionist control spreads malignantly whilst the rest of the world sleeps." That is true. What is more malignant than "produce and flowers flooding Europe." Hahahaha. That is the funniest thing I have read in awhile. If only those evil zionists would stick to flooding europe with rioters and bombs on mass transist systems, like the peaceful Muslims do!
41. hold your horses my Lebanese friend
Matt   (04.05.08)
"Every verse in the Koraan is so laden with meaning and is extremely difficult to understand." The Quran is the most incoherent piece of religious literature ever foisted off on mankind. Mohammads "miracle" indeed. Even native Arabic speakers can hardly understand it. That said, if you can explain to me what "context" can possibly make sense of "smite the necks of the unbelievers," especially since Mohammad, as recorded in Muslim historical accounts, took that verse literally and murdered all sorts of people, then I may be inclined to listen to you. At least the violent Jihadists own up to their religion, not try to white wash it. Or better yet, give the ignorant westerners the famous "you can only REALLY understand it if you read it in Arabic" line.

I am not sure I understand who your post is directed to, but I'll answer a few points. "even though that success has wrought so much destruction for Christians and Christendom." What are you talking about? I see no "destruction" befalling "christendom" as a result of the Jewish nation of Israel. "Christianity is the antidote to “the Jewish problem,” Who said that? Christians believe that the Messiah is the "antidote" (to use your somewhat misguided term) to ALL of human kinds sin problem. For real Christians there is no "Jewish problem." "Judeofascist enterprise" It is obvious that you are the one with the "Jewish problem." Christians love Israel because God does. They believe that the Jewish people present us with the most clear, obvious example of God's umerited favor and unfailing love. The Apostle Paul said, speaking of the people of Israel, that "the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable" So when Christians see god's promise made to Abraham, the promise of descendents, relationship with Him, and possession of the land, it reassures them that God will keep His promises to them as well. For a Christian, if the God of the Bible did not keep His promises to the children of Jacob, then they have no certainty He would keep promises to them. A foundational aspect of Christianity is seen in God's relationship with the Jewish people. If God does not still love and bless the Jews, then we have no hope for ourselves.

One of the Danish cartoon protest parades had protesters carrying a sign that said "Behead those who say Islam is a violent religion". That just about sums it up for me! BTW poster 28 - you forgot to mention that Israel created the AIDS virus too!

Everywhere there are Islamic clerics preaching tolerance and peace but no one is there to notice, let alone record it? Give me a beak. I'm sure you and everyone in your "peace and intolerance" mosque let al-Mansar know how the clerics are misrepresenting Islam.

Nowhere does it say he prefers Israel to te Nethrlands. As far as connections to Mossad and the 40 trips go, he doesn't say that or at least none of the footnotes lead to articles quoting him or proving those statements. Given how Arabs in the media have been proven to manipulate photographs (see Lebanon '06 war) and falsify quotes (see Sharon's "We run America" line that originated on the Hamas website), I need more evidence of your claims.

53. What lesson should we learn from Fitna ?
Jack Klaber ,   R. Hasharon, Israel   (04.06.08)
Geert Wilders who sat probably in the same classrooms I sat in and is a fan of the same soccer club as I am (we are both from the same small town), is not the average southern Dutchie. He traveled and observed. He came and stayed in Israel and saw that we do somethings better than others. He did not had to rely on reports from 3rd. rate journalists doing standard (opportune, anti-Israel) write-ups about the ME conflict. He saw with his own eyes that Israel and the Israeli society is a vibrant, positive community that, if only left in peace, could have been an example of what can be achieved if you put your mind (Jewish that is!!!) to it. We should not try to mimic the Muslims and start a "true -not true" dispute, nor should we start to export massive amounts of Israelis and fundamentalist Jews to each country in the West (we don't have the numbers for that) and we should not try to explain to anti-semitics and other foreigners haters that we are not as bad as we are depicted. Instead we should invite young (and young at heart) people to come and stay in our kibutzim (whatever is left of it), youth hostels, hotels, etc. and tour the country so they can see themselves that, when you take out the equation of the Palestinian issue, Israel is a country of milk and honey, full of wonderful people.

56. #55 Holocaust cartoon contest
Tahl ,   Israel   (12.16.08)
Can you give me a truly educated explanation, as to how a Holocaust cartoon contest serves to promote anything other than plain, grotesque antisemitism? I would sort of, somehow understand it, if Muslims would want to "get even" by saying harsh things about Wilders personally, his country the Netherlands, or his Chrisitian religion. But what do Jews have to do with this? Why do Jews have to be offended again, by such disgusting, barbaric journalism? Is that because Jews make for easy, perfect victims, who never retaliate? So go ahead and make your sick smiley over a Holocaust cartoon contest. Of course you should realize that such "contest" would only prove how Wilders was right about Islam. You are a menace to the world.
