1. Syrians have every reason to be worried: IDF is a real army.

2. Of course Olmert is not seeking confrontation in the North

because he knows he's powerless and will surely lose again.
3. When I See a Merkava, I See a Kornet and Hear a Loud Boom
Lev Bronstein ,   Moscow, Russia   (04.06.08)
If Israelis think the Hezbollah defense forces had good anti-tank weapons and decimated IDF tanks with ease, you have not seen anything yet. Israel better learn to make peace soon, as its government is weaker than weak, and the Yeshiva wolves are taking over the hen house, and Israel was already a pariah to begin with.
4. Replace “peace” with strength and determination.
Dora Ziv ,   Haifa   (04.06.08)
Current proposals like the Road Map are totally unworkable and should be abandoned. Considering the fact that the only possible relations between the Muslims and the non-Muslims are war or a limited ceasefire, it follows that the word “peace” should be deleted from Israel’s lexicon as well as the notion of peace with the Arabs as a viable, political possibility. The maximum that Israel can aim for is a limited ceasefire or an armistice, taking into consideration that the Arab side will violate it at any time, as the Palestinians have been proving on a daily basis since the signing of the Oslo Accords in September 1993. The solution to the Israelo-Arab problem should be find elsewhere as explained at : http://tinyurl.com/yr27gm

Tanks are easy to hit when their standing still like in Lebanon. Secondly, even in this perfect situation for anti-tank missiles only 5 tanks were destroyed beyond repair. The rest are already back in service, and although crew members died, the casuality rate was actually pretty low when taking into account the number of missiles being fired at them. Thirdly, if I were you, I'd worry a little more about Chechnya, little less about Israel.
6. WHY DOES SYRIA HAVE TO BE.............
JANE GROSS   (04.06.08)
REASSURED ? ISN'T O----T A P.M. (PEACE MASOCHIST) DON'T THEY KNOW HIS AGENDA ? “We are tired of fighting, we are tired of being courageous, we are tired of defeating, our enemies we want to be able to live in an entirely different environment of relations with our enemies." Ehud Olmert June 2005 address to the Israel Policy Forum in New York THE SYRIANS OR, WE HAVE TO BE REASURED ?
7. No Body trust Israel
gadees ,   vanco.   (04.06.08)
Your tanks were an easy target during the 2006 war against Lebanon.Wether moving or standing still they sustained direct fatal hits. So,most of what you have is just an iron junk.I wouldn't bet on these equipments facing Hexbollah's weapons.Of course, they could be used against Palestinian women and children in Gaza. Judging by past experiences,Syria could hardly assume to trust Israel.
8. #6 Fading Peace
gadees ,   vanco.   (04.06.08)
Peace is to be made with enimies not friends. So, if peace is realy what Israel seeks, then it should be nade with Syria,Hamas and Hezbollah.
9. Why is cowaedly Olmert reassuring our foes that want us dead
3Jay3 ,   Israel   (04.06.08)
10. #3 Loud boom - of missle detonating without reaching target.

11. I think Israelis should go through some
Cary Blum   (04.06.08)
manuvers around the Kenesset to coordinate and actualize some strategies to over throw this criminal gov't. then make a statement that:: it is not to threaten the gov't. and assure them it's only hypothetical in nature ! I bet that would go over real good, wouldn't it ?!!
