31. #25: A male rabbi in a power position gave the moms "advice"
5th generation ,   Israel   (04.07.08)
on how (not) to "cope" with raising the children. The women were subsequently taught that to deal with a challenge, beat it to a pulp. It is the general projection and control issue to which I was referring, not male-female interactions specficially. In this current scenario, the children were the victims, for seeming out-of-control as a result of either just being children, or as a result of poor parenting (for which they are again taking the brunt).
32. Another stupid ynet publication ?
(04.07.08)
Henry's "oops" was not preceded by a former t.b. WHAT ARE YOU HIDING YNET ?
33. THE SCARRY THING IS HOW MUCH
(04.07.08)
ABUSE DID THIS CHILD INCUR PRIOR TO POLICE ACTION ? IF IT WAS IMMEDIATE, SINCE WHEN DO THE POLICE ACT ?
34. Didn't know there are extreme left rabbis
(04.07.08)
O may be woman & rabbi are settlers So, in this case all leftist settlers beat theirs children ( Leftist syllogism)
35. Isn't Kabbalah Beautiful?
Daniel Bouskila ,   Los Angeles, USA   (04.07.08)
As much as so called "New Age Spiritual Seekers" may not like it, this type of "Tikkun" comes straight from the dark world of Kabbalah. Sickening!
36. #15 collective punishment
elchonon ,   chicago usa   (04.07.08)
The gazans voted hamas in and suport them genius
37.  35. Isn't Kabbalah Beautiful?
OBSERVER ,   CANADA   (04.07.08)
Can you please verify your knowledge of KABBALAH for us, and tel us where this "Tikkun" is located in the KABBALAH.
38. Sounds like the woman wants "roast rabbi" for dinner. This
Rivkah   (04.07.08)
is utterly unbelievable.
39. Why call him a "Rabbi"?
Shalom   (04.07.08)
There are a lot of "Baba's" roaming around - they have no Torah learning, no fear of Heaven, and certainly no Rabbinical ordination. I would never have the nerve to call myself "Rabbi" but at least I learn Torah, and try to live my life according to it. Anyone can take on a title. If this evil specimen believed in what he was doing, he wouldn't have run away to Canada. As for the woman - I cannot for the life of me even begin to understand how anyone can be so stupid and evil, as to believe the aforementioned idiot, and commit these crimes (yes, I believe that they are not fabricated). My heart goes out to these kids who have about as much chance of growing up normal as they do of watching the sky turn green..
40. Haredim would sweep this under the rug!
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (04.07.08)
41. #35, blaming all kabballah for this is like saying everyone
mea too   (04.07.08)
from LA is a fruitloop. In your case your intrepretation of this article pretty much supports that the theory that LA residents are mental lightweights unable to discern the simplist of concepts, but I do not believe every person in LA is so utterly stupid. And whipping out a flaci statement about kabbllah, a very positive path toward goodness, is only indictitive of your own mental failings.
42. Abused children
Spencer ,   Israel   (04.07.08)
The "Rabbi" who fled to Canada should be extradited and stand trial. The Mother who is guilty of this terrible crime and that so-called Rabbi should be sent to prison for life..........the courts should show them the same mercy that they displayed towrds those poor children.
43. sick sick sick
Simon ,   TA Israel   (04.07.08)
Just goes to show how sick some of these people that claim to be religious and talk on the name of the Torah and God really are. It also highlights the power theser rabbis have and how these sick twisted vulnerable people follow his everyword. Have they lost all sense of personally responisibitily and the basic human instict to be able to know what is right and what is wrong. And these very people are telling us how to run our lives. Sick sick sick people
44. #4 This is a typical Baal Tshuva story
Miriam ,   Israel   (04.07.08)
just like the one YNet reported last week. You can tell she's a BT or a giores because of "her" extremism - the path BTs usually take to make up for their past "misdeeds". A normal chareidi from a chareidi solid family background would not go to some weird insane Rabbi somewhere in Canada who was probably excommunicated by chareidim in general? But for YNet this is a great story to slam chareidim in general.
45. Abusers
Marilyn ,   USA   (04.07.08)
For all I know it could be a situation in which someone's been bad in America, so they've run to Israel and basically posed as a trustworthy, authority type of person or persons. Sorry, but it happens. I look a little in that direction cause it possibly has happened more. It just makes me angry when I think of what these children have went through.
46. Most of this kind of child abuser...
Dorothy Friend ,   Tel Aviv, israel   (04.07.08)
...tends to be some kind of fundamentalist. In the USA it's usually a Christian. I suppose in countries that are mostly Moslem they are Moslems. I'm trying to think of the last time I read of a horrendous secular child abuser.
47. to daniel bouskila re: kabballah
jo   (04.07.08)
I am so glad you said what you said. All this time I thought I was one of the last Sephardi rationalists who eschew mumbo jumbo kabballah lunacy and nonsense (how anyone can still argue that the Zohar is nothing more than a brilliant forgery- is beyond me). I am glad to see that I am not alone.
48. Find that jerk in Canada
sherri shinebild ,   new york   (04.11.08)
Find him and try him.
49. I am shaking with rage
chaya ,   New York   (04.18.08)
I would kill the guy with my own two hands. i would shred his limbs one by one, i would burn him one finger at a time. i would make him have a tikkun for his terrible demons. poor children. poor poor children.
50. Abuse not only mothers
Marianadjá ,   USA, Chicago   (07.18.09)
Where are the fathers of all these isolated children? So busy working that they never see their kids? 30 years protecting children & we only see a small percentage, despite mandatory reporting by schools, health care, etc. Seems here that the most dangerous environs are the isolated, which comprises many fundamental groups of all kinds (always religious), & they all seem to be committed to the competitive breeding so prevelant in religions (sects) that have no other way to increase their numbers.
