2. Resurrecting a Failed President
sandman ,   ann arbor michigan   (04.10.08)
There is no fool like this former failed president. On has to Ask how many petro dollars go into Carter's foundation in order to buy this hyprocite's tonque. The sign he hang's in front of his house reads "former defeated incompetiant presdient for hire for the right sum".
3. Finally an American Whose Head is Not Up Israel's Arse
Mr. Know-it-All ,   Frostbite Falls, MN   (04.10.08)
GW Bush has proven himself to be the worst president ever in US history. GW's failed Zionist/Neocon agenda has not only destroyed the image of the United States, he has devastated our economy. left hundreds of thousands dead including the death of 4,000+ US soldiers, has the US mired in foreign wars that have no end in sight, and along with the bimbo named Condi Rice, has embarked on the most ineffective and failed foreign policy ever conceived. Thank God that Carter has the intelligence to see the value of dialog over GW's bury your head in the sand method, a method that has resulted in his presidential legacy being one of complete and total failure as a leader.
4. I said it before
J K ,   NYC, USA   (04.10.08)
and I'll say it again. One thought comes to mind everytime this has been opens his mouth: "Shut up, Carter!"
5. Bitter old bigot
Sigfried S. Kuhn ,   Aberdeen   (04.10.08)
This sorry excuse for a man was the worst President ever. Domestically, the economy was in the tank with double digit inflation and Jimmeh had no idea what to do. His foreign policy was a disaster as his armed forces leaders never planned for sand in the desert. Now as the ex-president, he still hasn't overcome his bitterness at losing the election to Ronald Reagan and seems determined to take it out on his country. The only thing that can be done against him is for the government to censure him.
6. Rolling on the Floor Laughing
J. Russell ,   Houston, TX   (04.10.08)
I can only imagine that this is what Hamas and other terrorist leaders do after meeting with men such as Carter. What a fool! Blind denial.
7. Carter is a hack...
Cole ,   San Diego,CA   (04.10.08)
Go figure..He loses militarily to the muslims so he suddenly feels he understands them. Jimmy, stick to farming...and poor people who don't waste their time building rockets with supplies
8. Why do Jewish groups object? Let him go.
Jake   (04.10.08)
And let him find refuge in Damascus, together with other like-minded kindred spirits who are cared for by the tender administrations of Damascus, like Alois Brunner
9. Wasn't this "thing"who pushed Israel to that bad deal...
Keren ,   Israel-SP   (04.10.08)
of giving the Sinai back ,and letting that whole bunch of nothings called palis in the shoulders of Israel? Sinai is a nothing in Egypt hands and palis are a nothing in their own hands. What did Israel gain?Peace with Egypt? Really?
10. #3, Mr. Know It All, I agree totally
Che Vive ,   Ghetto Beach, U.S.A.   (04.10.08)
G.W. Bush is a total disaster, Israel should be negotiating with Hamas, not trying to prop up Abbas' failed puppet government, and Carter is a truly great man for trying to push for foreign policy sanity in this matter. Cutting Hamas out of the dialogue to this point has achieved nothing but misery and given Israel more chances to expand in the West Bank behind the facade of the "peace process". It's time to negotiate with Hamas as a partner for peace, whether the Israelis like it or not.
11. #3 sounds like a college student
Marcus Mann   (04.10.08)
with hollow liberal talking points straight from the mouth of some old hippie prof. who dropped LSD in the late 60's. I think the school ripped you off myself... you've been HAD. Peace and less hate toward those that you disagree with. For me, whatever Carter wants is fine, but meeting with the leader of a terrorist group is against Company (USA) Policy.
12. Carter, you won't outlive Israel. Give it up.
JimBob   (04.10.08)
13. Carter is better off speaking to
Yessir Ibn Badkarma ,   Kanwait   (04.10.08)
Carter will next go to Teheran to speak with Ahmadinejad. And while he's going he will bring him some Uranium and Plutonium. He still has enough saliva left to lick the shoes of I'm-a-ding-dong-nijad
14. Why? They already have a brutal dictator
DK ,   la-usa   (04.10.08)
Let's review the Jimmuh Legacy. Genocide in Cambodia, Genocidal mullahs in Iran, Mugabe, Chavez (he cerified a "fair" election), failed rescue attempt in Iran, double-digit inflation and, (this might not be fair), failure to join the Russians in fighting the Taliban-instead of fighting against them. There is a chance that he might have to give-up his "worst President" status as he has major competition for the title from GWB.
15. Jimmy Carter stay with habitat for humanity
Psalms 83 ,   Selah   (04.10.08)
You do more good there !
16. does this surprise anyone?
aj ,   CA   (04.10.08)
thanks for revealing your true sympathies Carter
17. now we're about to get another carter
david ,   new york   (04.10.08)
nixon/ford were so unpopular that they got carter elected. he hates america, not to mention isreal. no with anti-bush sentiment we're about to get obama elected. he and his group hate america and are pro-palestinian. we are in for trouble.
18. Jimmy Carter visit to Syria
Saul Balagura ,   Houston, USA   (04.10.08)
Permiting Jimmy Carter to mediate Israel-Palestinian affairs is one of the worst mistakes Israelis could do. The expresident has proven not only to be one of the worst presidents, but he has also permitted with his influence the pushing of his extreme leftist views onto unsuspecting democratic societies with terrible effects.
19. Carter and Hamas
Dementia Preacox ,   U.S.A..   (04.10.08)
Maybe he can teach em how to farm peanuts..he isnt good for anything over here either.Let him move there,we wont miss him
20. "Yediot", don't be an "Idiot"
SR ,   NYC   (04.10.08)
This newspaper should do itself and everyone with any brains a favor - stop quoting Fox News. "Yediot" should realize that it sounds like an "Idiot" quoting this American reactionary propaganda outfit.
21. President Carter
Sean ,   Montreal, Quebec   (04.10.08)
The endless unfounded babble of accusations of anti-semite every time Jimmy Carter's name appears on YNet is shameful. Beyond doubt the most sober minded and compassionate of American presidents in the past half century. It seems if an American president isn't prepared to go on a killing spree in the Middle East the best many people on this site can do is slander his name. You need to look at his record, both in power and since.
22. Definitely a Step-Down for Maashal
Shai ,   IL   (04.10.08)
23. Obama will be another Carter.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (04.10.08)
Think about that.
24. Al-JIMMAH CARTER--WORST PRESIDENT EVER-------EVER!!!!!!
jp ,   usa   (04.10.08)
25. Do not ignore History’s lessons on hate and Anti-Semitism.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (04.10.08)
Some State Department officials apparently fear that focusing too much negative attention on North Korea, China, or the Palestinian Authority might undermine U.S. relations with those regimes. But the experience of the 1940s demonstrates that downplaying abuses by totalitarian regimes does little to persuade those regimes to improve their behavior. Today, despite the State Department’s kid-gloves approach, Tibetan monks are being beaten by the Chinese police and Palestinian Arab schoolchildren are still being taught with anti-Semitic textbooks. Will the State Department now finally learn from the mistakes it made 65 years ago? More at : http://xrl.us/bi7kb
26. Carter Center sent me request for donation. Tore it up.
(04.10.08)
Should have defecated in the envelope and sent it in as a deposit.
27. To the people who like to play sticks & stones
Sean ,   Montreal, Quebec   (04.10.08)
Apparently it is permissible to slander the goyem with unfounded accusations of antisemitism but it is unacceptable to point out that there are many red necked Jewish bigots making these claims. I am beginning to understand.
28. regarding YNet editorial policy..
Sean ,   Montreal, Quebec   (04.10.08)
It is amazing how you end the article with a claim the Iranian president denies the holocaust. Very strange because I have heard him interviewed at length on American television and he spoke of six million Jewish deaths during WWII. But YNet is wise enough not to make the claim directly, choosing the insidious route of quoting some American Jewish group, thereby keeping the falsehood alive. For the love of humanity look at the consequences of your actions. You are nurturing fear and hate amongst your own people.
29. Carter has missed his Amaleki cusion Mashaal badly!!!!!!!!!
Asher ,   NY, USA   (04.10.08)
