What do you expect Israel to do? Open up the borders so Hamas can go on a discount weapons shopping spree? How can they sit back and watch a ship carrying explosives and munitions steam into port in Gaza, knowing at least some of those munitions will probably end up inside an Israeli stomach? You should concentrate on holding Hamas to account for transferring weapons and military fuel over the borders instead of humanitarian goods. If they weren't conducting such activities, or even if they did nothing more than renounce violence as an acceptable tactic, those Gaza borders would be open to whatever you wanted to get.
