First, this isn't art, it is ridiculous. Some think everything what makes a "provocation" is arts. Second, why do these so called "artists" travel exactly to Israel for hanging around with their ugly lice – though they expect it might open wounds?! Are they just out for a quick scandal that their names are printed in the press? Do they hope to foster their career this way? Why they didn't do it in Germany? Simply because they would be ignored completely. Only on the background of Nazi-propaganda – Germany – Holocaust survivors... it seems to become a "story". They are simply abusing historic sensibilities for their narcissist purposes: Because without that the whole thing simply wouldn't work. Kick them out of the Academy of Arts.

I'd consider it art. Lice are a symbol of humility, because they ellicit derision and scorn from others and are associated with poverty and destitution, and yet lice also have a place in our shared world. The concept of host and guest evokes the nature of Abraham, who loved to host guests as a reflection of G-d hosting us within Creation. Hosting parasitical "guests" is also an interesting subject - it's not too far-fetched to see human beings as a species as nothing but parasites on the Earth who selfishly take without giving anything back. It's also possible to see G-d as the Host who graciously tolerates the present selfishness of humanity (which is perhaps even less helpful in the ecological chain than insects) in the faith that humanity will one day reclaim our own ability to host G-d's Holiness in our world.

If G-d made lice as they are, they would be a work of art. However I'm not sure that they (and some other insects) were designed as such or if they are some mutated version of the original. The fall of man and the results of such could possibly have had an effect on everything.

as a joke ..when the teatcher asked the student in the primary scool who ever see a lice one girl said yes i saw it on the bed covering of my father . as a science in a medical book that lice is the cause of a disease the typhus as it transfer the disease and treate the lices by medical spray and cleaning .in the history and religion when god sent lices to egyption the faroini and moses help them . in all lices are disaster .. but art no no no .art never be a disaster // art is something pure or it must be pure
