31. apologizing
mike ,   Seattle   (04.28.08)
Israel should not apologize for killing Palestinian civilians by accident until the Palestinians apologize for trying to kill Jewish men women and children on purpose. The Palestinians talk about "war crimes" and "collective punishment". Every missile fired into Israel into Gaza is a war crime and collective punishment of Jews for the perceived crime of being alive.
32. #25: Las Vegas doesn't occupy Palestine, Israel does
DA ,   Texas   (04.28.08)
This is what happened to Palestinians. Jewish terror groups Imagine sombody occupies Connecticut & expels you to Mexico. In the 1930's and 40's occupied Palestine and expelled its people to Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, and West Bank and Gaza and Palestinians are doing exactly like any people would do when their country is occupied and Israelis are doing exactly like any occupier would do to subdue the people they occupy: murder, terror, and blaming the victims.

"don't hide among women and children. Don't allow us to kill your human shield; YOU kill them first"
34. where is the threat?
edward ,   las vegas   (04.28.08)
lets see, in 2007: http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2008/jan/01/israelandthepalestinians.international "There were 13 Israelis killed, of whom seven were civilians. There was only one suicide bombing in Israel last year, an attack in Eilat that killed three people.... But the number of Palestinians killed by Israeli security forces in 2007 stood at 373, of whom 53 were under 18. B'Tselem said its research showed about 35% of the dead were civilians who were not involved in fighting when they were killed. The previous year, Israeli military operations in Gaza claimed hundreds of lives." so last year, there were 7 israeli civilians killed by the terrorists, while israel killed over 350 including over 50 children. and in one bomb yesterday, 5 palestinian civilians including women and children were dead and you ynet jews are celebrating. how do you defend your behavior? what are you fighting against if only 7 civilians died last year? i am sure more civilians died in auto accidents, train accidents (given israels horrible record with their train system), cancer, domestic abuse, jew-on-jew violence, etc, etc, etc. why don't you people get your priorities straight? killing brown people is not a sport.

Another vastly distorted point of view. Lets discuss the issue of morality in your discussion. If a person goes to a cafe and purposefully targets civilian and minors and wears a vest with small metallic balls as to inflict as much human casualty as possible is this moral? or how bout the man who walks into a religious institute of study and starts firing randomly to kill as many 15-17 year olds students as possible, is this moral? And to top it off when horrific acts like this take place, is it a moral act that the "suppressed" people go out in the street and celebrate the murder of innocents and pass out candy and sing songs of praise? Can you imagine if Israel was to conduct acts like this? Edward if Israel really wasn't a moral country the gaza strip would have been wiped out a long time ago. There is a rather large distinction between military operations designed to root out terrorists hiding among civilians and terrorists who specifically target civilians. When Israel does accidentally kill civilians there is outrage everywhere! even Israeli media shuns the act and people condemn Israel and require an explanation. Israelis do not go out and celebrate in the streets! You want to talk about war crimes? where are the soliders that hamas and hezbollah illegally captured and are holding captived? did the UN not clearly call for their unconditional immediate release as part of the ending of the lebanon war? or how bout the dozens and dozens of rockets fired into Israel EVERYDAY that are designed to randomly target civilian populations? Edward, do you see Israelis being employed in arab countries? do you see arabs offering sick Jews entry and use of their hospitals for free to recieve treatments? NO! and yet Israel is called an apartheid nation. I could go on forever but its clear that you sir are just interested in playing armchair critic. Get off your high horse and stop using "morality" as a loose term to define anything that doesn't fit your particular guidelines. With all these undisputable statements, I ask you Edward and all the other Israel-bashers on this site.... where are your morals???

you clearly don't get the point. like 25 says, you're living in a dream land (las vegas) watching what cnn feeds you and that is it! you haven't been there, you didn't live there, you don't know the people and the history. you're just a bystander who doesn't know the truth. 8 yeshiva students were murdered with intention! if the idf would want to do that they wouldn't hesitate, the idf -> does -> not -> kill -> civilians -> intentionally -> 1+1=2 capish? maybe this time it'll go into your brain. people like u are proof of america's average iq of 20. i was there, i was a soldier there at those checkpoints seeing in their eyes how they want us DEAD! they call for truce, we stop defending ourselves and boom, a bus explodes in telaviv 22 dead, kids, women, soldiers, etc, INTENTIONALLY!!! we retaliate and kill >terrorists<, and then they send another suicide bomber to kill people in a cafe! boom! flesh everywhere! do you get that? can your litlle brain understand that? you didnt see all those things. you cannot pick a side that looks like "the victim" on the pictures you see daily on the newspaper! this is what hamas wants and they succeeding by idiots like you who eat their propaganda bullshit! when i was a soldier a friend of mine was sentenced because he shot a pali in the leg because he had a molotov cocktail in his hand. apperantly by idf law, he can only shoot if the molotov cocktail is in the air (not in his hand)! this, dude, is the most ethical army you can find in the world. any other country would fire up their asses so hard there would be deaths in the thousands, and we manage to keep the numbers of casualties LOW! compare to other wars/conflicts and you will see! alright? now go back to sleep.

human shields, you can hold me personally responsible for any terrorist left. Sharon said Gaza first, but I can say human shields first.
40. The true face of israel.
Chuck ,   Palm Beach, Fl US   (04.28.08)
Why western television media refuses to report such atrocious, murderous acts on the Palestinian people is a mystery to me. Those of us who get their news from printed media and online sources are seeing the true face (nature) of the israeli regime. Murdering innocent children is NEVER a justifiable option and will never bring about peace. I for one no longer sympathize with israels plight. Homemade rockets that do little more than cause a nuisance are not reasons to murder children. I think it's time the US reexamines it's alliance with israel. Of coarse, this will never happen while the tyrant we've elected remains in office.

ts ts ts, dear chuck, read #35 to clear up your mind. you're against the people who seek not more than pure peace. the same people who love the americans as our true friends (not you, you're not an american). dear chuck, anti-semites never die, they just change....... cheers!

I have no illusions as to the egregious behavior of hamas, hezbullah, or any other human being who wishes to do nothing more than maim and kill but killing children as a reprisal is unacceptable. I am no anti-semite, remember, when I speak of Israel, I speak of the government not its people. Maybe I am naive, maybe I'll never understand what it's like to have rockets landing in my town, maybe I'll never understand the fear of suicide bombers, but I know there are other ways of dealing with things. Anti-semite...tststs
