1. a weak and cowardly Israel will do nothing
Marcel ,   Florida   (04.28.08)
There is no longer any moral clarity in Israel which would lead someone in power there to rescue this Palestinian who helped Israel. How sick you have become Israel following the Barak model of betrayal against the South Lebanese Army after his midnight retreat and surrender to Hezbollah. Israel now only knows how to flee. A faithless government never misses an opportunity to do evil and stand by and do nothing as with Sderot ,so with Saad. Israel has changed for the worse at 60 .She permits and encourages evil and corruption daily and calls it peace process. It's a lie for all we see are ISRAEL'S ENEMIES STRENGTHENED and Israel weakened. Israel continues to work with and support this terrorist entiy Fatah and Abbas because Israel's god Geroge tells tehm to do it. If only the people of Israel owuld dump their false god and return to Hashem.
2. but
(04.28.08)
i thought that the PA and mahmood abbas's american trained security police ARE COLLABORATING WITH THE IDF to uproot terror cells from west bank. then, why do the west bank arab lying dictators condemned this person who supposedly only helped this colaboration execute their goal????
3. And these are the "moderate" forces supported by Mr. Bush...
(04.28.08)
Israel, go and help your friend! He may not wear your uniform, but he's done well to help... Let there be justice.
4. Palestinian "collaborators"
David   (04.28.08)
Well, it is not so much a question of a lack of moral clarity as it is a question of the refusal, on the part of the government of Israel, to act as the ultimate legal authority in the areas administered by the Palestinian Authority- in effect, to maintain a true occupying presence. But I agree with you. It is absurd that such behavior has been allowed to persist over the years. Palestinians who contribute to the defense of Israel should be protected by the Israeli government. No question about it.
5. Where is betzelem? UN human rights comm.?
b.moskowitz ,   chashmonaim, Israel   (04.28.08)
Where is the EU human rights commision? Oh, I forgot, It's not Israel dong the dealth penalty. never mind
6. Waging war on your own people
GUH   (04.28.08)
is considered an act of treason. If such treason, as in this case and many other cases, leads to death, then it becomes a capital crime. I do not know much about this collaborator and what bribes he was given to commit his shameful act, but the lesson that collaborating with this despicable enemy is simply destructive and will be punished to the limit of the law.

i agree with you 100%. israel should institute a system of protective custody whereby, they provide this individual with new identity and papers and a new place to live away from those that want him killed. this has to be inside israel or abroad. you choose, but it has to be done!
8. Executed for being a true "Partner in Peace"
Joe ,   Ramat Gan   (04.28.08)
"This will set an example for those who sell out their homeland and their people." - Sami Sataidi What about Arafat, Abbas and the Road Map? From the perspective of Palestinian nationalism, are these individuals not 'selling out their homeland' by 'collaborating' with the 'Zionist entity'? I smell hypocrisy...
9. First time in 7 years?
NYC Girl   (04.29.08)
Yeah, right. Maybe it's the first time in seven years that an actual trial took place. Usually these Palestinians summarily execute those they deem to be collaborators without the benefit of any legal proceedings.
10. Justice is upheld.
Nathan Rai ,   Bangalore   (04.29.08)
Only a parasite - defined as an entity which does not have to pay for anything - can be blind to the fate of Israel if it trusts the Palestinians. Olmert has no interest in Israel except for the all expenses paid job of PM. Olmert will survive Israel. The question is whether Israel will survive shyster PM Olmert.
11. rights?
theviper311 ,   Hymie Town   (04.29.08)
what right does a non-entity have to not only impose a court system on anybody but then to use that system to impose a death sentence on an individual? no legal government exists as there is no country. who elected this judge? who appointed this judge? if anybody should try anyone it should be an Israeli judge as they are the defacto government in the area. there is no legal government of arabs in this district. this sounds more like a kangaroo court of prison justice than a court of governmental laws. a death sentence by this group of arabs is really murder by criminal intent.
