Jordan as a friend.. Israel has no friend on earth now. The past 60 years has been a time to prove this. when GW Bush is leading the Pack, with Land for Peace. to the PLO= Arafat, is much more then a CLUE. Roy c. Hudson USA 4/30/08

where are all the arab-bashers to condemn this?
3. Body language
Raoul ,   Israel   (04.30.08)
Olmert always has his head bowed when greeting King Abdullah. Does he feel this is necessary for royalty, or can he simply not look someone straight in the face, or is he looking askance. Or all of the above. In any case, a bad sign.
4. Olmert & King Abdullah
Rozz ,   San Pedro   (04.30.08)
How could a traitor possibly look anyone straight in the eye. Or maybe it's because Olmert had just had his "daily dose".
5. This king
Abu Ahamd ,   Ramallah-Palsetine   (04.30.08)
Is worried about his regime's future, not about the Palestinian people. NONE of the Arab leaders would like to see a true Palestine State, because it might be the best democratic one. Thus, the Jordanian is playing a very dirty game, like his father and grandfather.
6. Olmert, 97% of Israelis want you to stay there.

7. King Abdullah II of the Hashemite Kingdom should know.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (04.30.08)
King Abdullah II of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan should know that the Land of Israel belongs exclusively to the people of Israel. The Jews have the right to build and live freely in their country. Agreements as a result of blackmail and pressure are not valid and will not change historical truth and International Legitimacy (The San Remo agreements). Mistakes done by Israeli government(s) in Anapolis or before should not be respected and should be put right immediately. At the base, the Land of Israel is exclusively the land of the Jews in its entirety as explained at : http://xrl.us/bjch4

you are correct ahmed. non of your arab neighbors ever wanted to have peace and never wanted to make it possible for you to have an independent state. if you had one already, there would be no future for their regimes to continue. so, they made israel your number one enemy. israel is not your enemy. the arab nations which palestinians support are your enemy. it started with 1947-48 when all of them together refused to allow you to agree to the partition where 2 states can live side by side in peace. one palestinian, one jewish/israeli. they attacked israel in 1947-48 and called on you to leave your villages and towns, sc aring you that the jews are going to slaughter each one of you, telling you to run and leave everything behind because after they kill all the jews, you'll be able to come back into israel and claim it for yourself. had the arabs let you agree to the partition plans and have your own state, you would have never suffered like you do till now. the jews would have worked hand in hand with you, body to bodt to create two viable democratic states that enjoy prosperity and peace, life and acheivements. the jews are not your enemy. the real enemy as you say are your own brothers, your own corrupt leaders like arafat and zahar that would be out of a job, living in poverty and not on eu and usa dollar aid that made them rich beyond your imagination, while they used you to make you suffer poverty, violence, poor education, poor economy and total dispair. you know only too well that if there was any peace between israel and the palestinians, those arab regimes and kings and mullas would not have survived. the palestinians were always a pawn in arab hands and in their leaders' hands. through hate indocrination, violence, hate and violent education, vile and hateful propaganda, teaching generations of children to hate via the media and calls of death in your mosques, these palestinian leaders togetherv with arab regimes made sure to train the next generation of arab and palestinians to hate and committ violence, not to strive to live in peace and solve the political situation. a good example of what i am saying is when you look at how these arab leaders live, how your palestinian leaders live and then compare it to how they make you live. do you drive a bmw, a mercedes, do you wear western suits and travel all over the world, do you live in a luxurious vila on the medditeranian and have milions of dollars in secret swiss banks? NO! they won't let you live like they live because they don't want to. if they let you have a happy prosperous life, if they used all the aid money, not to steal it, but to build your future, you would also live like them now, in gaza and west bank. but, if you really live like them, it means that there is no future for them. YOU ARE BEING USED! YOUR LIFE AND BABIES' LIVES ARE BEING USED AND YOU DON'T REALIZE IT. you know why you don't realize it? because these corrupt vile leaders brain washed you via revisionist history, via programs of hate to make sure you stay exactly where you are, in the same living conditions and with the same dispare that turned you into a loose cannon against the jews in israel. arafat NEVER WANTED A STATE FOR THE PALESTINIANS, OTHERWISE HE WOULD HAVE ACCEPTED BARAK'S OFFER AT TABA: 97% OF ALL THE WEST BANK, 100% OF GAZA, 50% OF JERUSALEM. HALF HALF! arafat walked away without even a counter offer and started the intifada!!! causing thousands to die on both sides. has he presented the israeli generous offer to the palestinians, they would have taken it and build a state in 2000. is the present situation better, i ask? the only solution for the palestinians is to change leadership, demand their freedom and rights and oust the corrupt and violent enemy from within (hamas, fateh, hizbullah,etc...) stop the violence which led to nowhere on both sides and declare a true peace,

Jordan is the ONLY Arab country to offer Palestinians full citizenship and equal rights with Jordanians - even the ones that were kicked out from Lebanon and Kuwait! Yet you find the time to criticse Jordan! You should be grateful that so many Palestinians found refuge in Jordan, which is poor enough already!

Abbas knows that to back down on the so- called “moderate” Palestinian position - a state in 100% of the West Bank and Gaza - could sound his death knell. Hamas would have great delight in branding him a traitor, ignore any such deal and call for his head as the price for selling the Palestinians out. Abbas has made it clear that he has decided to tough it out knowing full well his demands will not be accepted - giving him the opportunity to then leave the negotiations with his head supposedly still held high saying he tried the peaceful route but Israel refused to play ball. He hopes then to triumphantly return into the welcoming arms of Hamas and join with them in taking the violent route to pursue the common objective which both the PLO and Hamas have always shared - the destruction of Israel. He may find out that in doing so he has bitten off more than he can chew. Olmert and Abdullah need to draw up a plan protecting the national interests of both Jordan and Israel to ensure that the West Bank does not become a bloodbath that could spill over into either or both countries if Abbas does not show real intestinal fortitude and lower his demands. Their message to Abbas should be clear and uncompromising - swallow your pride, eat a bit of humble pie and share the West Bank with Israel - or end up getting your just desserts.
