What a joke! A bunch of hot air being blown as the result of this documentary. A number of things are wrong with this not the least of which is the fact that it is too late for this kind of posturing. There is no G-d given right to reparations nor restitution and make no mistake the organized Jewish world makes no differentiation between the two. The funds have been flowing for nearly 60 years and have been mismanaged by all, not the least of which has been done in the name of "the greater good" for Israel. It is long since time that as a successful nation that we take care of our own and stop looking to Germany for funds like a bunch of schnorers.

to get money...the state of israel received money from germany as compensation and didn't pay it to the survivors, just as palestinian leaders do with the money of the refugees. leadership, state, or any kind of representation provoke this kind of problems... viva la autogestion!

The people handling the money think it all belongs to them. They toss out some crumbs to the survivors themselves.

Democracy- Independence- Dignity- Respect for Holocaust Survivors Have not seen the movie-this has been my experience. From the very beginning the Claims Conference (CC) has been a major problem for Jewish Holocaust Survivors. In the most demeaning way possible, all in the name of helping Holocaust Survivors, the CC has extracted hundreds of millions of dollars from Germany while exploiting and then subjugating their Jewish Holocaust Survivor brothers. Further, the CC and their institutional partners have hijacked our dignity, our programs and our benefits leaving Survivors with crumbs. The CC and their institutional partners are guilty of creating situations for Jewish Holocaust Survivors that are objectionable and reminiscent of negative treatment we encountered in Europe years ago. Why would a Jewish organization repeat some of the offences of our war time enemies? How can we get rid of them? As a Jewish Holocaust Survivor I am appalled by the conduct and representation of the Claims Conference. The Claims Conference and their institutional partner’s are a degrading, disrespectful, greedy embarrassment for me. The CC must stop meddling in our affairs, making decisions and negotiating in the name of Holocaust Survivors. Holocaust Survivors like me, my family, my relatives and other fellow Survivors want the Claims Conference out of our lives and off our backs. The German Government has known for years that the Claims Conference has been exploiting and degrading Jewish Holocaust Survivors. Yet they remain silent and continue to have a relationship with an organization that mistreats Holocaust Survivors. The Claims Conference, their officers and their institutional partners need to get a life away from us. Holocaust Survivors must to be in charge of their programs, negotiations and affairs. An anonymous letter sent to the Claims Conference’s Frankfurt office in 2001 identified five cases where restitution was approved for ineligible claimants. I have the guts to say they are a much of thieves. I am a child of Holocaust survivors. For years I have yelled and screamed that there has been hanky panky going on while Holocaust survivors were denied their due. How stupid are we not to protest? A lot of people belong in jail. Holocaust survivors are going without food and medicine while the thieves play with their funds. If you agree with me , speak out. I call on all Holocaust survivors and their children and grandchildren to demand retribution now. I am not afraid to speak out. The claims conference in my opinion is corrupt or at least inept.
