1. US must stop meddleing in Israel !
Marcel ,   Florida   (05.02.08)
It's time for the US. to stop this trampling of Israels sovereignty and put its noes in it's own business. After 15 years of failed US peace schemes it time to butt out. You've done enough damage already with your Gaza first disaster.
2. rice has no record
alex   (05.02.08)
Everything Rice has touched has not worked out-Iran, iraq, north korea, israel. She wants to salvage a middle east peace at israel's expense. Say no!
3. Yes, Ms. Rice, the Israelis should agree to the borders
Rivkah   (05.02.08)
given to the Jews by the Balfour Declaration by the League of Nations--ALL OF IT including Trans-Jordan by going to the International Court in the Hague to demand the League of Nations document be implemented immediately.
4. Final borders for what?
Jay3 ,   Israel   (05.02.08)
There is no Palastinain people, their own leaders admit that. Condi needs to butt out and worry about finding another Arab country to settle these displaced people into. Perhaps Egypt or Jordan where most originally came from! Leave Israel alone America, stop pandering to the Saudie's demmands in exchange for oil!
5. The border is the Jordan River.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (05.02.08)
Everything East of the Jordan River is Palestine.

Yohanan   (05.02.08)
Dear Ms. Reis You wish to know the final borders? - Israel is the only nation on this planet that has a strong document proving ownership of this land. You may want to refresh your reading of the bible.
9. Failing the test of history
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (05.02.08)
Israel’s enemies have always wished to destroy it, of course, but what’s new this time is that they are avoiding the set-piece battles that lost them all previous wars, and are instead elaborating the tactics of terror. Islamist Iran has made itself the driving force. The terrorist movements Hizbullah and Hamas are both Iranian satellites, and their presence on Israel’s borders ensures that Iran can already engage in terrorism on its own terms and at times of its own choosing. There’s a civilizational dimension to it as well: Science and technology have hitherto given Western states their supremacy over the Muslim world. As Iran moves toward possession of the nuclear weapon, this historic advantage is neutralized. A nuclear-armed Iran will be able to promote terror at state level, changing the balance of forces as never before against the West in general and Israel in particular. But for the Arabs living today in Judea, Samaria and Gaza, ongoing failure to achieve statehood reflects the ultimate indicator in determining that, indeed, they do not deserved statehood as described at : Failing the test of history Israel's enemies have always wished to destroy it, of course, but what's new this time is that they are avoiding the set-piece battles that lost them all previous wars, and are instead elaborating the tactics of terror. Every time Rice has gone to the ME to pressure Israel into giving up land, or arranges details on the "Roadmap to Hell" an earthquake or violent storm hits. Same thing happens when Bush pushes forward on this agenda, as well. It just happened again the other week. But, even before this, there are numerous examples of these occurrences, and far too many to be a matter of "coincidence." Here are but a few: • August 23, 1992 The Madrid Conference moved to Washington, D.C. with the same agenda of attempting to wrest land from Israel, a sovereign nation, creating a state of homelessness for thousands of Jews. ON THAT VERY DAY, Hurricane Andrews produced an estimated $30 billion in damage, leaving 180,000 Floridians homeless. At that time, it was the worst natural disaster to ever hit America. •March 1, 1997: Arafat begins a one-month tour of America and President Clinton publicly rebukes Israel for not surrendering land for peace. On the very day, Arafat landed in America, massive tornadoes completely destroy huge sections of Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi, Kentucky, and Tennessee. Days later, as Arafat is still touring, storms hit the Dakotas, causing the worst flooding of the century. Weeks of storms rage throughout the Midwest until Arafat completes his tour. The day he leaves the U.S., the storms "suddenly" begin to settle down, and end within a few days. •August 29, 2005 was the the day the very last Jew was evicted from Gaza. On that very day, Hurricane Katrina formed and hit the USA. Approximately 500,000 US citizens became homeless. 10,000 Jews from Israel's 6 million is a percetage of .00167. - 500,000 Americans from the US's 300 million is a percentage of .00167. It is written that HaShem acts in a way that is called "Measure for Measure." It is also written that G-D Blesses those that Bless Israel, and curses those who curse Israel. This is something you can google and see for yourselves. There are about 60 of them. If they continue to harm Israel, it appears that the US is in for some very bad times.
11. NO to Rice
Brod ,   USA   (05.02.08)
Israel should say NO to her manipulations. She should be manipulating the Arab Islamist-Jihadist states to discard their support of Islamist-Jihadist terrorisms instead of doing their dirty work on Israel. The Islamist-Jihadists have NO right usurping Israel's biblical and historic homeland from the Jews.
12. Rice, go and read the Bible
Mikle White ,   Canada   (05.02.08)
There will never be a palestinian state on ZION Land. God gave that land to Jews. People from the Negev will occupy the mountains of Esau, and people from the foothills will possess the land of the Philistines. They will occupy the fields of Ephraim and Samaria, and Benjamin will possess Gilead. This company of Israelite exiles who are in Canaan will possess the land as far as Zarephath; the exiles from Jerusalem who are in Sepharad will possess the towns of the Negev. (Obadiah 1:19-20 ) This very specific prophecy outlines the areas that Israel will gain. They include the east bank of the Jordan, the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and southern Lebanon. It's interesting that it deals with most of the areas that are contested now, and then some. In that day the Lord will reach out his hand a second time to reclaim the remnant that is left of his people from Assyria, from Lower Egypt, from Upper Egypt, from Cush, from Elam, from Babylonia, from Hamath and from the islands of the sea. He will raise a banner for the nations and gather the exiles of Israel; he will assemble the scattered people of Judah from the four quarters of the earth. Ephraim's jealousy will vanish, and Judah's enemies will be cut off; Ephraim will not be jealous of Judah, nor Judah hostile toward Ephraim. They will swoop down on the slopes of Philistia to the west; together they will plunder the people to the east. They will lay hands on Edom and Moab, and the Ammonites will be subject to them. (Isaiah 11:11-14 ) This is yet another promise of regathering. We have seen this happen - the Lord has indeed reclaimed them for a second time. Examine the rest of those verses, and see at what the regathered Jews are going to do: "swoop down" on Gaza and "plunder" Jordan. Gaza is the stronghold of the Palestinian Authority, along the coast.

14. #8 - Palestinians are The Descendents of Abraham
Johan Odin ,   Oslo, Norway   (05.03.08)
Read your bible Yohanan - God gave the land to Abraham's descendents and not ever specifically to a religous sect such as Judaism. As the Bible further teaches, Abraham's direct descendents were Isaac and Ishmael and later from Issac came Jacob. So as you can see many people of many religions are the descendents of Abraham and have the same valid claim you cite. Modern genetics has proven that Palestinians are just as much the descendents of Abraham as Jews, and more so than many Jews who are in reality just descendents of Europeans who converted to Judaism. Read your bible Yohanan - God gave the land to Abraham's descendents and not ever specifically to a religous sect such as Judaism. As the Bible further teaches, Abraham's direct descendence were Isaac and Ishmael and later from Issac came Jacob.

R.Alkalai ,   USA   (05.03.08)
Johan, I don't know what "Bible" you are reading, but it is not the Torah- the original. Modern Genetics also prove that all humans are related to each other. Abraham, the first JEW, and was the father of many nations. However, The land of Israel was given only to Israel, and his descendants. You also seem to forget Moses. Perhaps your bible does not mention him...?? Below is a link to an English Translation of the Torah. Read Bereshit- Book of Genesis- particularly chapters 17 to 28. Then read Bamidbar -Book of Numbers- 34 to 36: http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/Judaism/Torah.html Here is an excerpt from chapter 17: 15 And G-d said unto Abraham: 'As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be. 16 And I will bless her, and moreover I will give thee a son of her; yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of peoples shall be of her.' 17 Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart: 'Shall a child be born unto him that is a hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?' 18 And Abraham said unto G-d: 'Oh that Ishmael might live before Thee!' 19 And G-d said: ''Nay, but Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son; and thou shalt call his name Isaac; and I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant for his seed after him. 20 And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee; behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation. 21 But My covenant will I establish with Isaac, whom Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year.' Bamidbar- Book of Numbers, Chapter 34: 1 And HaShem spoke unto Moses, saying: 2 'Command the children of Israel, and say unto them: When ye come into the land of Canaan, this shall be the land that shall fall unto you for an inheritance, even the land of Canaan according to the borders thereof. 3 Thus your south side shall be from the wilderness of Zin close by the side of Edom, and your south border shall begin at the end of the Salt Sea eastward; 4 and your border shall turn about southward of the ascent of Akrabbim, and pass along to Zin; and the goings out thereof shall be southward of Kadesh-barnea; and it shall go forth to Hazar-addar, and pass along to Azmon; 5 and the border shall turn about from Azmon unto the Brook of Egypt, and the goings out thereof shall be at the Sea. 6 And for the western border, ye shall have the Great Sea for a border; this shall be your west border. 7 And this shall be your north border: from the Great Sea ye shall mark out your line unto mount Hor; 8 from mount Hor ye shall mark out a line unto the entrance to Hamath; and the goings out of the border shall be at Zedad; 9 and the border shall go forth to Ziphron, and the goings out thereof shall be at Hazar-enan; this shall be your north border. 10 And ye shall mark out your line for the east border from Hazar-enan to Shepham; 11 and the border shall go down from Shepham to Riblah, on the east side of Ain; and the border shall go down, and shall strike upon the slope of the sea of Chinnereth eastward; 12 and the border shall go down to the Jordan, and the goings out thereof shall be at the Salt Sea; this shall be your land according to the borders thereof round about.' 13 And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying: 'This is the land wherein ye shall receive inheritance by lot, which HaShem hath commanded to give unto the nine tribes, and to the half-tribe; Johan, HaShem gave the land of Israel to the Jews.
