They have been at it for decades, and successfully. No govt' (surely not the US) would allow thousands of rockets to be lauched into it's territory, w/o a massive retaliation. Can anyone imagine Kassams (or Grads) fired into San Diego from Mexico, or Seattle, from Canada, for even one day? We would have sent the entire Marine division at Camp Pendleton in a NY minute., supported by B-52s. Israel has no effective answer to most every problem, whether Hez, Hamas, Fatah's double talking, or Ahmad's rantings and ravings. It is biding it's time, hoping for a miracle, a breakthrough, while Condi blasts it's settlement activity and roadblocks at thwarting peace. Duh!. But we have our own pressures: The Arab-American leadership now demanding an apology from McCain's campaign for something he said. J. Carter is always provoking mischief..liberal PBS (TV) sides quietly with the Pals. The NYTimes has writers who seem not to know what is going on.
