1. What are you going to believe me or your lying eyes.
John ,   Raleigh, USA   (05.07.08)
This is all climate politics. These scientist have no idea what's happen but when they see a cooling trend they are certainly careful to say the politically correct line. "This does not mean that man made global warming is not true." What hacks!
2. Climate change too complex to allow for certainty
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, DC USA   (05.07.08)
One must certainly follow and project the overall trend lines, but even there one encounters not only short term variability, but geographic variability. One area encounters warming, another cooling. One above normal rainfall, another prolonged drought. What's the "trend"? Nor do averages adequately convey the significance of extreme climate events. There are a few things of which we can be fairly certain. Pumping crap into the air is not just unhealthy; it affects weather patterns. Pollution cover, including contrails, appear to have a cooling impact , possibly "masking" an underlying warming trend. Such "global dimming" was confirmed in the US after flights were grounded following the 9/11 attacks.
3. Did you see the movie "The Day after Tomorrow"? NYC froze
Rivkah   (05.07.08)
instantly. If the poles shift which is eminent it is more likely to be less of an instant freeze, but a freeze non the less for some distance from the new North and South Poles. What would cause an INSTANT freezing like in the movie? There is a layer of METHANE GAS in the earth's mantle and the sudden excaping of a lot of methane gas would cause an instant freeze. There has been some dangerous drilling into the methane gas layer under the earth that could cause more problems than it solves, but few people seem to be concerned about such freezing effects. What caused the terrible tsunami in Indonesia that spread to other places and killed 250,000 people in December of 2004? There was methane gas drilling in the area and there was an underwater explosion. Was that caused by a little methane escaping the drill site? Was it caused by an underwater nuclear explosion? The explosion started with a bright light on the surface of the water and then a half mile high water spout. Then there terrible tsunami waves that even hit Africa, far away.

"Day After Tomorrow" Ice Age "Impossible," Researcher Says http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2004/05/0527_040527_DayAfter.html I think you should read this: http://www.greenfacts.org/studies/climate_change/index.htm The Day After Tomorrow™: Could it really happen? http://www.wunderground.com/education/thedayafter.asp http://konflor.free.fr/files/Public/Publi/CGI4401_Assessment.pdf
5. Global Warming
Frederick Feyertag ,   Milwaukee, USA   (05.07.08)
If some of the Global Warming (or now Climate Change) idiots understood 7th grade science they would know that the solar cycles cause the change in global temperatures. The temperature on earth is regulated by precipitation systems which we know very little about. More broadly, any of these sick socialists (and fascists -- but what is the difference) who advocate global warming also advocate reducing the worlds population through tyranny, war and plagues. Read the UN report about the ideal population of the earth. It is this ideology that is the core of the global warming (Climate Change) Movement.
6. That's It? It's All Over?
Reuven Brauner ,   Raanana, Israel   (05.07.08)
Just as fast a we were made to become hysterical about global warming, it's over. Thank G-d. I thought we would all melt by 2009. Reminds me of the hysteria about aids a few years ago. We thought Africa and much of the rest of world would be horribly dead by now. That didn't happen either. What artificial crisis will fall next? Who keeps scaring us?
7. It was the men swimming in the ocean
Steven Wilson ,   Anchorage, Alaska   (05.08.08)
that changed the currents. Human swimming definitely changed the currents.....and now we are in for some colder temperatures, and higher energy bills. Remember......if its anything global....man is responsible. I'm still trying to figure out what person is responsible for hurtling a meteor into South America and creating the Ice Age. We killed the dinosaurs too. Humans are responsible for everything. Our Science God....I mean teacher......told me so. Science is the new religion. Yea followers of the Astro Gods. I've got to go shovel out the barn....the horses are knee deep in manure right now.
8. 4: If you had read the tb #3, you would have seen I think
Rivkah   (05.08.08)
the scenario of the movie "The Day After Tomorrow" is unlikely as shown in the movie. The earth is round now instead of egg shaped, so a pole shift is eminent which happens every 3600 years when the Planet X (Nibiru) comes closer around the sun in its eliptical orbit. IF the poles shift to the equator which is unlikely, the oceans would rise 600 feet from melting icecaps. The instant freeze scenario is more likely from methane gas escaping from inside the earth. I would not advise living in cities neary the oceans at little higher than sea level even if the poles shift slightly. Ten US cities are highly at risk: Washington, D.C., Boston, Miami, Norfolk, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston, New York City and some others. The US government has taken the rising oceans risk so seriously that many federal departments have been moved to Denver, such as IRS and EPA. Denver will likely be the new US Capital if Washington, D.C. is nuked or flooded beyond repair. There is an SDI shield over Denver and Colorado Springs I have read. More immediate dangers for the USA are the Yellowstone Magma Caldera that is close to exploding. Then there is the San Madras fault from Chicago to New Orleans that is overdue for an earthquake, as is the San Andreas fault in California. When the poles shift, there will be bands of 200 mph winds around the earth for an hour or so. All cultures with verbal or written records that go back 3600 or more years indicate there are massive tidal waves with the pole shift. Little houses are more likely to survive than big ones which Habitat for Humanity Homes showed to be more survivable than larger homes in hurricanes in the USA. The whole earth was fed with manna since agriculture was disrupted for awhile 3600 years ago at the time of Moses and the exodus. But don't take my word for it. Read Professor Immanuel Vilikovsky's books. The Russians did and they built shelters for their entire population, stocked with American grain surplus according to defector Stanislav Lunev, a former KGB Colonel.
9. Global warming is a money-spinner for
(05.13.08)
many organisations. Truth is there is nothing that anyone on this earth can do even if it were so.
10. global warming delayed
elliot ,   point roberts,usa   (05.15.08)
by natural cooling--maybe the warming is also natural-like the ice ages before bush and cheney! the whole idea of man made climate change is junk science-anoher collectivist scheme to subjugate humanity to big brother .
11. Ronald Reagan on environmental extremists
Jake   (05.19.08)
"Yes, I do believe there is environmental extremism. Some people won't be happy until the White House looks like a birds' nest."
