1. Most of the arab villages were built on the ruins of the
Arthur ,   SF, CA   (05.08.08)
Jewish towns and villages - which predated arab invaders by thousands of years. Their crocodile tears of the 'lost' land is another big lie fueled by the pallywood production and paid for petrodollars.
2. 60 Years of Attempted Genocide
Joe ,   Ramat Gan   (05.08.08)
"This will be a war of extermination and a momentous massacre which will be spoken of like the Mongolian massacres and the Crusades" This was announced by Abdul Rahman Hassan Azzam, Secretary General, Arab League on May 14, 1948- the day before the Arabs invaded Israel and started the Israeli War of Independence. I refuse to recognize al-Nakba as anything other than an attempted genocide against our people. Had the Arabs chosen coexistence over genocide, al-Nakba would have never happened.

mark ,   Raanana Israel   (05.08.08)
To Arthur #1 You write 'paid for by petrodollars'. From what I've read the Arab countries raking in the cash at an unprecedented rate are far too smart to waste it on a lost cause. Promise-yes; deliver-definitely not. No, it's the suckers in the West that are forking over their taxpayers hard earned money. Ask Mr Blair-he does the collecting.

7. Ban Israeli Flag, Students Protest
(05.08.08)
Several students at Ben Gurion University were shocked on Thursday morning when school officials told them to remove the flags they had hung on their dormitory windows in honor of Independence Day. The students informed the Im Tirzu (“If You Will It”) Zionist student group, which promised to fight the school’s policy.
8. Nakba is an excuse
Lina ,   USA   (05.08.08)
After living in Israel for 60 years and willingly accepting all the benefits of Israeli citizenship, they are protesting and complaining instead of contributing. Israel is their country. If they don't like it, they are free to leave but they don't. The Israeli Arabs should demand Arab MKs work harder for them in Israel. Instead, they waste their time traveling to Arab countries to bad mouth. The Nakba is an old, stale excuse.
9. Raising an Israeli flag in Israel?
Reality Check ,   BaGolan   (05.08.08)
How treasonous
10. The harder you try
Marcel ,   Florida   (05.08.08)
The more Israel bends over backwards to appease her arab citizens and Palestinian enemies the more Israel is reviled by them. Weakness invites revolt from those who seek your demise.
11. Peaceful hommus feast, Lubnan arak and falafel at home
Yaakov Sullivan ,   NYC   (05.08.08)
My husband treated me with good falafel and hommus and we drank 2 shots of lubnan arak for the health of Palestinians. This was a very peaceful protest.
12. #11 - Husband???
Arthur ,   SF, CA   (05.08.08)
Yaakov, careful... you might get pregnant one day...
13. Arab/Jewish coexistence reaches new heights:
Nick L. Islam ,   Kfar Tapuach, Israel   (05.09.08)
Moslem Arabs in Israel, which they insist is really Balestine, commemorate their "nakba" according to the Jewish calendar! They even moved their commemoration forward by two days so it would not clash with Shabbat!!! And three weeks from now, they will commemorate the Six Day War - "al-nakba al-thani" ("the second disaster") - also according to the Jewish calendar!
14. The facts about the Nakba. The Arabs twist the truth!
JAy3 ,   Israel   (05.09.08)
The real Nakba happened in 1920, when there was no Israel to blame. It occured when Syria annexed the southern part of its country, stranding their people in what they now claim is Palastine. That is the true Nakba but the Arabs are decietfull. They should be blaming Syria, not Israel!
15. Jordan bans 'Nakba' commemorations
(05.09.08)
Jordan bans 'Nakba' commemorations By KHALED ABU TOAMEH "Jordanian authorities have banned all events marking the "Nakba," or Catastrophe, as Arabs refer to the creation of Israel 60 years ago." Jordan is a normal country with a normal authorities

18. It's odd..
Micha   (05.09.08)
that arabs never seem to be responsible for their inappropriate and irresponsible behavior. It's always somebody else. Scapegoat, anyone?
19. They have no right to this land
Arthur ,   Israel   (05.09.08)
If they are not faithful to the land they should leave.
20. The Arabs living in Israel.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (05.09.08)
Since its establishment Israel has hidden its head in the sand, refusing to face the fact that a mighty enemy has been growing within it, threatening its very existence. The Arabs of Israel see themselves as part of the Arab world and more particularly as “Arabs in occupied Palestine.” They enjoy every benefit that a democratic state has to offer, but they, together with Israel’s enemies, share the hope that this Jewish state, in which they have achieved conditions no other Arabs in the Middle East enjoy, will cease to exist. When Saddam Husayn attacked Israel with missiles in 1991, many Arabs in Israel supported the Iraqi dictator and openly demonstrated their sympathy for him. “We, the Arabs in this country,” – said Tibi – “wish to see a strong Arab force… able to confront the axis of the USA and Israel.” And these are among the mildest pronouncements of these Arab members of the Israeli parliament who enjoy all the rights and privileges that the Jewish Democracy can offer as explained at : http://xrl.us/bi3hx
21. better life than in any country in the middle east
observer   (05.09.08)
that's the most hilarious joke, I've ever heard
22. Anyone protesting against the Israeli flag
jason white ,   afula,israel   (05.09.08)
should either be arrested or shot. That includes Jews. All arab flags should be banned. All pictures of terrorist should be banned. No arabs should be allowed to form groups or protest movements.
23. this is what happens...
(05.09.08)
when Justice isn't tempered by Compassion and when Justice and Compassion aren't escorted by LOYALTY! If these people are residents and/or citizens of the state where in Heaven's name is their good sense and Loyalty!
24. Real "Nakba" occurred in 1920 & not about Jews
Millie ,   Israel   (05.09.08)
Historian of "Palestinian" nationalism, George Antonius, wrote in his book, The Arab Awakening (page 312), “The year 1920 has an evil name in Arab annals: it is referred to as the Year of the Catastrophe (Am al-Nakba). It saw the first armed risings that occurred in protest against the post-War settlement imposed by the Allies on the Arab countries. In that year, serious outbreaks took place in Syria, Palestine, and Iraq.” This has nothing at all to do with pre-state Israel, the Jews or the events in 1948 or 1967. The current "Nakba" nonsense is a big lie pushed by the media.
25. They asked the group to lower the flag????
Chaya ,   Bat Yam, Israel   (05.09.08)
Screw them!!! How dare they!!!
26. #24 - THANK YOU!!

27. arabs should feel lucky
ilan ,   ta   (05.09.08)
to be in a country such as israel. i think they have forgotten how poor and war torn arab countries are. maybe they need to be reminded of this fact. hmmm let's see how they can be reminded. how dare they protest independence day. they would be nothing without israel but poor fools running around like the rest of the arabs in the world, pretending they matter or they contribute anything to society.
28. arab villages
Michael Zloczower ,   Vienna Austria   (05.09.08)
You are absolutely right. There ist to add that the only village/city that has ever been built by the arabs under their turkish or british rule in the Land of Israel was Ramle. Quiet a lot in about 1500 years !
