1. Halt the missile attacks on Sderot.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (05.10.08)
The PA population elected the Hamas terrorist organization to lead the government in a landslide victory two years ago, and they alone would be responsible in case of a humanitarian crisis in Gaza – not Israel. Qassam shooting at Israel should stop at any price. Prudence is an important consideration of statesmanship, but self-respect is vital and no self-respecting nation can allow the situation in Sderot to continue. Missile attacks launched from Gaza should stop as explained at : http://xrl.us/bi5wv
2. mistaken policy
tom ,   toronto, canada   (05.10.08)
"The Israeli delegation to the United Nations filed a letter of complaint with the UN secretary-general over the deadly mortar attack at the western Negev." there should be a diplomatic protest after EVERY qassam or mortar attack, not just the ones in which people are killed. it should not be "acceptable" to shoot at israeli civilians, under any circumstances. israel has nothing to gain by downplaying these attacks on her sovereignty and the human rights of her citizens.
3. "A letter of complaint"
Reality Check ,   BaGolan   (05.10.08)
That's the way. Send a quick note, even better - just email the UN how upset olmert is at this barrage. That will protect us.
4. Why are we standing for this balagan?
Raddai Satz ,   Taipei, Taiwan   (05.10.08)
No more Gaza, no more West Bank ... annex it all and if they want to be Israeli Arabs fine, if not they can move to Lebanon and be "martyred" by their own people.
5. The true aims of Hamas
Shimshon ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (05.10.08)
"There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors." This is from the Hamas Charter!!! http://www.shimshon9.com
