Hamas claims that Israel's refusal to capitulate to its terms is "stuborness". Well, judging by the many ouvertures for Peace that Israel has made with the Palestinians, only to be stabbed in the back and have all the agreements trampled with impunity by terrorists, I suggest Israel is entitled to a certain "stubborness" and suspicion. Add to that the fact that Hamas is a terrorist organization which has gained power in Gaza following a terrorist coup, and you get the idea that when dealing with terrorists, stubborness is a must. Hamas AGAIN is missing an oportunity to save itself and instead is inviting Israel to destroy it and reduce all its arsenal and terrorist forces it has ammassed during the last two years. But this has been the story of the Palestinians: they've never failed to refuse Peace and opportunity to build a state. They have been misled by their terrorist leaders with the promise that their state will raise with the destruction of Israel. Since Israel is quite hard to destroy, Palestinians have been living in poverty and desperation - both a result of terrorist activities and funds being transferred to private coffers of Terror Lords and for buying weapons. Their "struggle" is deemed to fail and in the process they will destroy generations upon generations of young palestinians. When eventually they will have a state, they will not have any doctors, engineers or teachers to develop it - only a pathetic bunch of jobless terrorists who know only how to murder, rape and lie, and a gang of crazed, analphabet, fanatical clerics who know only to incite.
