Even the smartest of our politicians never quite seem to understand we are holding all the cards but we constantly agree to deal on arab terms. Assad wats all the Golan ok he is the boss .. the man doesnt have the Golan, he is in no position to take it from us by force, Syria is shunned by most the western world because it supports terror. We though say ok Mr Assad we accept your terms afterall we are in no position to say no are we? The palestians want Jerusalem. We have Jerusalem, the palestians are in no position to take it from us but we say ok Mr Abbas your the boss Jerusalem is yours lets shake on it. I was reading what Barak offered to Arafat .. Israel would have soverignty over the Kotel ( the Western Wall Plaza ) but the rest of it would belong to the palestians ( the tunnels etc ) and the palestian state would have soverignty over the old city. Its only thanks to Arafats stupidity we still have Jerusalem. Palestians want anything it doesnt matter if we are in a position to smash them if we take the gloves off we say ok you have a deal. Even Hamas they are talking 6 month ceacefire .. the fact Hamas are on their knees right now and need this ceacefire alot more than we do doesnt matter. They have set the terms for a ceacefire so for 6 months of quiet we will accept their terms and when they come back in 7 months they will be stronger than ever and all our efforts to bring them down will have been been in vain just so we could have 6 months of quiet. We even increase their fuel supply everytime they say they are short, Barak promised months ago he would switch out the lights in Gaza and cut all fuel supplies and even take millitary action if needed if the rocket attacks continued. So far he has only reduced fuel supply, the lights havnt gone out, there has been no millitary action we are just getting ready to sign a 6 month ceacefire on Hamas terms. We might have the strongest millitary in the region but we have the weakest and molst pathetic politicians in the world. If these people had been running the show 60 years ago there would be no Israel .. where did all the Ben Gurions, Yitzhak Shamirs and Golda Mairs go to? Today the attitude is surrender is allways the best policy.

everybody knows that neither israel nor syria nor hamas are really interested in peace now. olmert is preparing the diplomatic world to an vast operation in gaza. soon, he will be able to tell usa and europe that he tried to talk to everybody before hitting. that's a responsible strategy for israel and its citizens. maybe he learned the lesson from the mediatic fiasco of the second lebanon war. and don't forget he took the decision to strike the syrian nuclear site a few months ago !!! he or any israeli prime will never accept any syrian weapon on the golan height, it's so obvious. he's not so out of his element ... israelis obviously know that.

And Olmert is desperate to distract attention from his criminal behavior. He wants to create the impression that he is somehow an indispensable commodity, especially among those on the left, so that he can wriggle out of these investigations. Does he care if he destroys our security? It's the furthest thing from his mind.

"We are facing a historic agreement with Syria, which may remove the northern threat." Yes, and replace it with the Galil threat, in return for absolutely NOTHING. What will Israel do when Syria doesn't sever ties with Hezbollah, Hamas, and Iran after taking possession of the Golan?

How can we allow this Farce of a govt. with Olmert to continue? Olmert must be removed immediately any way that this can be accomplished: "No Confidence", Criminal Charges, etc. The last story we read that transpired in Turkey was about an Italian girl who hitchhiked from Italy in a wedding dress towards Israel but was sadly raped and murdered in Turkey. I don't know if Olmert's two "negotiators" in Turkey wore matching wedding dresses but the end of the sounds like we too will be raped and murdered thanks to Olmert.

AND thus they would like to show to the Israeli public the paper which mentions that : ' Israel has leased the Golan Heights from Syria for 25 years '. MEANING : they are willing to give away Golan Heights in order to just have the signature of President Bashar Assad. I must say, it is very pathetic -- coming from the mouth of a Cabinet Minister.
