There is so much tyranny and occupation in the Arab/Muslim world that makes the Golan Heights issue and the so-called "Syrian rights over it" a pathetic joke! Let's not forget for a second that the Golan Heights was siezed following Syria's aggression against Israel! Had Syria stay put instead of attacking Israel in the Yom Kippur War, there would not be a "Golan Heights" issue today. But Syria attacked and lost. They payment for the damages it did to Israel and the on-going terror and harrassement against Israel ever since, is the Golan Heights! Syria cannot demand it or expect it back and if it will ever entertain the idea of occupying it by force, let it remember that Damascus is very close - much closer that Syria thinks and much closer that their missiles are to Tel Aviv! We warned Syria about losing its assets in tyeh desert and it lost the nuclear facility. Now we warn it about Damascus. We hope that they have a good memory.

The Golan Heights will turn into the radical spearhead against Israel. No matter what Syrian Dictator Bashar Assad promises, he is likely to be toppled by radical Moslem forces - leaving northern Israel vulnerable to the terrorists on the plateau above. Assad’s minority Alawite regime will be toppled, for the peace deal will in fact serve to precipitate his downfall and for that reason, Bashar won’t be pursuing real peace with Israel. His regime has no legitimacy in Syria as it is, particularly when it comes to the Muslim Brothers, whose power keeps growing. The Iranian Defence Minister's reaction to the ongoing Israel-Syrian talks through Turkey were words of wisdom.Whilst acknowledging the fact that these talks are geniune,he wondered whether the motive behind all this was a geniune desire to return the Golan Heights to Syria in return for Syria to shift its present closeness from Iran.That is why he called the talks 'philosophical'.Does the geniune desire exist?Many have the right to feels otherwise.
