1. Who Will Take Over??
Adina Kutnicki   (05.29.08)
Clearly Olmert the crook has to go.However, I can think of NO single competent person to take his place. Aside from Eldad, Eitam and Feiglin none are suitable. The tragedy is that these guys have no chance of succeeding presently. The thought of Livni and Barak taking over makes my head spin. Bibi talks the tough talk, but always caves too. Israel is in deep doo doo. As a new oleh I can only cringe.....
2. Kadima will be the looser in all of this thank God!
Maurie ,   Israel   (05.29.08)
3. Forget March. Even November is not soon enough.
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, DC USA   (05.29.08)
Kadima of course wants to put it off as long as possible, since they recognize they are currently the "disgraced" party. Shas wants November, but that's hardly enough time to undo the damage they've incurred by staying in the coalition, despite everything. And Labor? What have they done lately beyond posture? The people, of course, see there's too much at stake, with the potential "fire sales" of the nation's land and interests going on in the east and north. The leadership's responsibility during this period of transition, is to enact electoral reform, so the people are not stuck with the choice of Party Hack A vs. Party Hack B.

the political arena is no better than a cesspool every party is jumping and shouting but doing nothing only hiding in the loop holes of intellect

the sooner the better. we must get rid of this cancer called ohlmert. he is a growth that is only growing and the longer he remains in power we will discover more places that he got bribes from. the man and his cabinet must go. but the investigation must continue as he has to return all the bribes and sit behind bars.
6. Envelopes of cash will get him to step down.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Santa Monica,CA USA   (05.29.08)
7. ohlmert

what we really need is a TSUNAMI in our government. perhaps then things will get better. worse they cannot get.
8. By the end of 2008??? THAT'S NUTS! Are you so sure
Miriam ,   Israel   (05.29.08)
you'll still find yourself in your own home by the end of 2008 and not be expelled? By the end of 2008 half of Israel can be given away by Olmert who's not functioning as PM because of his weighty personal problems - not that he functioned normally until now towards his Jewish brothers. We need IMMEDIATE ELECTIONS before more damage is done. Why shlep?
9. Why at the end of the year?
JAy3 ,   Israel   (05.29.08)
Can we afford to wait that long? NO We need elections NOW......not in 7 months when this inept government can be allowed to do more damage!. You think Livni or BArak are more reliable and competent than Olmert?
