5. #1 definately not....dont insult Golda!
Jay3 ,   Israel   (05.30.08)
Golda had brains and admitted her mistakes............complete opposite to Livni! Golda could talk to the media and public, Livni can only mumble and grunt! Golda stuck to her words unlike the indesicive Livni. Please dont insult Golda by this comparison to the totally inept and inexperienced Livni. She is exactly the opposite to Golda. Besides, Kadima is history after the next elections.......They have no support from the Israeli public after changing from right to left thanks to Olmert! This is not the same Kadima Sharon started.....Olmert has ruined the party!
6. The "Party System" at a dead end.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (05.30.08)
It's time to end the obsolete & rather undemocratic party system. Candidates to the Knesset should be directly elected from districts where they will be accountable to their constituants. Sitting MK's should not be eligible for cabinet positions. Independants should be allowed to run for the Knesset from the new districts. Supreme Court appointments should require Knesset confirmation as in the US. The current system is incapable of giving us anything but third-rate political hacks. It encourages corruption, sleezy deals, & a lack of responsibility. As for Livni, well, we get an incompetant replacing a crook. And I have to say, my G-d, look at our politicians. What a collection. We should all be really ashamed that this is the kind of gov't. system we tolerate. Ashamed ....
7. Kadima poll:
Jim ,   Jerusalem Israel   (05.30.08)
this article gives a new meaning to kadima, "a bunch of dead enders", if our leaders will learn corruption can and will only lead to a 'dead end' then Israel can begin the tedious task of climbing out of the pit of despair and reclaim dignity.
8. livni leading in polls
sas ,   israel   (05.30.08)
UNREAL. THE WONAN IS STUPID. Has no one paid attention to what she has done to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs?????? She is NOT capable of doing anything - shows no iniciative ands has no vision or courage. The only thing going for her is that SO FAR she is still HONEST.
9. Mofaz is an imbecile, rock on Livni
Yael ,   Tel Aviv   (05.30.08)
I'm leaving Avoda in favour of Livni. She represents the true Zionist vision on which this country was founded --honesty, loyalty, integrity and, above all, practicality. I never thought I'd go to the "right" but Livni has brought me there. Mofaz is an imbecile and Barak is a pathetic excuse as the leader of my party.
10. Jay3: Kadima is the fruit of what Sharon began..
Steve ,   Fla.   (05.30.08)
Ariel Sharon was a war hero who turned traitor. Ignoring Likud party vote on disengagement, Sharon arrogantly and corruptly plodded on, bribing, hiring and firing cabinet members who disagreed; ultimately he forcibly uprooted thousands of wonderful Jews from their homes; Jews who are now destitute and languishing without a community. This is what the Jews in Israel got by re-electing this traitor in 2003 even after he vowed to make "painful concessions" and vowed that a "Palestinian state is inevitable." Nonetheless, Israel's Jews voted for Likud / Sharon. Kadima is the result of this betrayal. Yet the Jews in Israel gave Kadima, with Ehud Olmert as its head, the mandate to govern. Lo and behold a scandalous government led by Ehud Olmert and Tzippi Livni was elected by the Jews. Many Jews outside Israel think the Jews in Israel have simply lost their collective minds, though there is some doubt. Should you again vote for this traitorous party, Kadima, with Livini as its presumptive head, all doubt will be removed.
11. livni leading in polls

12. Hows Moses doing in the polls?

13. Maybe she'll give Hebron to Austria?
Fradi ,   New York, US and A   (05.30.08)
Need all the IDF for America's oil companies to get Iran's fields. Who cares about some cave. I take it there's no oil in the Golan either?
14. These poll results are scary
Malone ,   Hfx   (05.30.08)
39% want livni...60% want olmert to stay...is Israel determined to self destruct? I really can't understand the thinking(or lack of). Yesterday some idiot said she/he wanted Livni because she/he liked her pant suits, another because she was pretty(??). Lets get real here, the security of the country is at stake, seriously, and appearance won't cut it,not to mention the fact that she is totally incompetent. The Israeli public will get what they vote for,so I hope they do it right!
15. For God's sake people let us NEVER put Kadima back in power!
Ariel Sharon ,   Israek   (05.30.08)
16. Livni and Golda were both women in leadership . . .
Ken Quinn ,   Amsterdam   (05.30.08)
roles when the country was caught with its pants down militarily. This was the comparison and warning I meant to give.
17. Generl Poll: Kadima 15%, Lieberman 34%... THANK YOU OLMERT!
The Doc ,   Haifa, Israel   (05.30.08)
18. LIVNI IS A DEFEATIST WHO SURRENDERS TO ARAB TERROR
DAN ROSEN ,   MONSEY, NY USA   (08.01.08)
Livni is part of the same defeatist corrupt government as Olmert. Livni should be known as "Queen Isabella the Second" because she wants to expel 250,000 Jews from Judea Samaria Jerusalem and the Golan just as Queen Isabella the First expelled 250,000 Jews from Spain in 1492. Livni is part of the same failed Kadima government which allowed Israels defeat at the hands of the Hezbollah terrorists.
