Tzipi Livni is where she is now only by the strange turn of fate. The fate which pushed her to jump first after Olmert into Arik Sharon's Kadima wagon. Apart of this quick move and her presumably clean hands she has nothing to justify her aspirations for the Prime Minister's chair. Her "clean hands" reputation is oversized by those who intend to pull on the puppet PM strings in future. Do we need a puppet PM after a crook PM? I certainly don't! We should look for a LEADER with strong personnality and strong views - not a cautious yesman or yeswoman who, it seems to me, is moving forward only when pushed from behind by interested people.

Although many women may want to see Livni as the new PM (look how many women vote for Hillary Clinton just because she is not a man), Livni is no leader. Unfortunately, neither are Barak, Netanyahu or any other candidate in these parties. Whoever becomes our next PM will be as bad or worse than Olmert , who was worse than Sharon. Livni's record may be cleaner, but she has no solution to our country's problems. She will never reach an agreement with the Palestinians. can you detail what are her achievements to qualify her as prime minister for Israel especially during such trying times? Nice talk talk is not enough but even her talking is very confusing. I watched her in one hour long interviews in the US and she could bring herself to make a clear statement why Israel has the right to exist, all in extremely poor English, all the while leaning her head 90 degrees to the right like a mentally disabled person.

A vote for Livni is no difference than a vote for Olmert. We wont have the coruption scandals but policy wise she has been backing Olmert all the way on everything from security issues to selling the Golan and dividing Jeruslalem. She is simply Olmert in a dress at the very least we will have an Olmert clone politicily at worst she will be even more left wing and egotistical than Olmert and we are going to be wishing for the good old days when we had a strong PM named Ehud Olmert. She has seen for over a year now that Olmerts living on borrowed time and so she has been playing smart politics. Support Olmerts contrversal policies when it comes to taking votes in the Knesset but dont , now and again criticise the boss to get noticed by the right in Israel and hope they will see you as primeminister material. and make yourself look like a woman withe her own ideas but dont try to look to right wing so the left like you and dont push Olmert to far to ensure you dont get pushed asside. Olmert has been the public face of all the contreversial and unpopular policies while she has said nothing publicly let him be the scapegoat for poilces she supports. While he is still PM let Olmert create a situation on the ground by making all the unpopular decisions but she can later cpme along say this is the reality as it stands its not my decision so dont blame me if its not good for Israel. What she wants most now is Olmert gone but without early ellections, kadima will allmost certainly choose her as the new leader and she can have an entire year as PM to create a power base make herself look like the kind of PM Israel needs. Dont do anything to contreversial ( save that till after the ellection ), clean up Kadima make it look like a part of government, criticise Barak & Natanyahu both former PMS who have made their mistakes while in office. Come ellection time Livni is going to be running a pparty that doesnt stand for coruption, she is whiter than white because she kept a low profile under Olmert and didnt do anything to contrversial before the ellection. The people have a short memory and they will ellect her with a clear majority ... this woman is no fool when it comes to politcal ambision.
