31. The card Hamas is playing
Rram ,   London   (06.06.08)
The delusional leaders of Hamas are convinced the present offers a rare window of opportunity for an invasion of a "weak Israel". They are doing all they can to provoke a strong retaliation thinking Hisballah, Syria and possibly Iran might join in as a consequence. They also feel somewhat protected by the willing human shields that pose a "problem of conscience" to Israel. No matter how incompetent Olmert and Barak are, the fact that Hamas is improving its collection of weapons, thanks to Syria and Iran, practically on a daily basis, Israel's hand will be forced to go for Hamas for an intensive clean up. Recent reports concluded that Syria was months away from attaining fissile material at the time of the Israeli bombing of Busheir. The same report reckons the Iranian program was ahead of that of Syria. This means it is likely Iran already has fissile material with which a dirty bomb can easily be made. This will include a "possibility" of passing this on to Hamas. Whilst an invasion of Gaza is inevitable the IDF's performance is most likely to be a huge improvement compared to that in the Lebanon war, no thanks to Olmert or Barack. Syria and Iran will stay out of the fight for fear of the military might Israel would unleash on them. The imminent invasion will be a major catastrophe for Hamas and will attract the usual anti-Israel condemnation from the EU and possibly the rest of the West. Israel will be smart to rebuke those who criticise her by blaming them for having stood by, and did nothing, while Hamas continued lobbing it with Qassams. The result will probably force Abbas to formally recognise Israel and accept some form of Palestinian State. Just my opinion! Shabbat shalom & Chag Sameach
32. #3 Looking byond Gaza
gadees ,   vanco.   (06.06.08)
Never unermind Olmert's decision when it comes to saving poor Israeli souls.Gaza is not the hostage city as you may think, its the very tight rope where Israel will have to walk through. Two solutions awaiting Israel,1- to walk the rope, reaching peace with Arabs and Palestinians,or2- fall to the abyss.
33. Advice to Gazans
The Doc ,   Haifa, Israel   (06.06.08)
- According to the Geneva Convention, every building, house, yard, school, hospital, mosque used as a munitions dump or as a firing position can and will be regarded as a valid military target and as a result it will be destroyed. If you don't want your house to be destroyed chase the terrorists out of it. If you don't, don't complain if you lose it. - If you cannot chase the terrorists away. then take your valuables and at least save your lives and leave the house. Try to run for the Egypt border and leave Gaza. If you stay back , you will very likely be used as a human shield by the terrorists and as a result, you may be killed in the crossfire. - Do not carry anything which may look like a weapon. If you do, according to the Geneva Convention, you may become a target. Gaza will soon become a war zone and any armed person becomes a valid target, regardless of age or sex. IDF is ready to enter Gaza any moment now and chase the terrorists away - offering you, the remaining peaceful citizens the opportunity to rebuild a peaceful society and invest in education, welfare, industry, commerce and health. If you allow others to (again) miss this opportunity for you, you will be as responsible as they are and you cannot expect Israel to help you out of your misery.

Thanks god you re' in the US.If Israel attemp to carry on such military attack onGaza, chances are that Israel may find itself in a worse situation than the one with Hezbollah.Gazens are willing to die for their country , what country are you willing to die for????.Stick to the country you are in, and stop war incitments.
35. #20 Only 99% historically correct.
The Doc ,   Haifa, Israel   (06.06.08)
You are somehow correct: Israel hasn't started any of the wars. All the wars were IMPOSED onto Israel by its megalomaniacal and greedy neighbors (and Iraq who sent some forces too). As a result of their aggression, the Arab neighbors lost territory and many lives, now used as a pretext for another war where they will lose more territory and lives (mark my word!). HOWEVER, don't forget that Israel was forced to clean the Gaza Fedayeen nests before Egypt lost it and the Sinai following the Yom Kippour War. As it happened then, Israel will again be forced to clean the Gaza terror nests, but this will not be a war. Rather it will be a cleanup operation with the hope that Gazans will take this new-found opportunity of getting rid of the corrupt and coward Hamas gangs, and build a life for themselves, away from terror and away from the megalomaniacal dream of genociding the Jews and "wiping Israel off the map". When that hapens, Iran better stay put, otherwise its most prized assets will be turned to rubble too. Don't forget that the Americans are closer than Israel to a cleanup of their own before Bush leaves office. The Americans have a long list of unfinished businesses when it comes to Ahmedinejad's Dictatorship. In that event, Israel will lend its help too. Irsan's military "might" will be pushed back decades if not centuries, and its government will fall when the Iranian people realize that the hour for toppling the bloodthirsty Revolutionary Guards and their masters has come. As for the rest of your pathetic ramblings, they don't deserve any attention, as usual.
36. Peace with the Arabs.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (06.06.08)
All the Arab countries, led by the Arab League, Saudi Arabia and Egypt, support and arm terrorists that are fighting Israel. At the same time they are very busy in all the international bodies and media seeking to harm Israel by isolating it worldwide, and singling it out as a pariah nation, blackening its name in every possible way. Concurrently, they also publicize their seasonal “peace plans,” all of which are but weapons in their war against Israel. These “peace plans” always contain three components: the withdrawal of Israel to the pre-1967 armistice lines, the establishment of a Palestinian state with Jerusalem its capital and “the return of the Arab refugees” into the diminished state of Israel. The aim of such plans is clear: to create the strategic conditions that render Israel defenseless, and to destroy it from within by flooding it with the Arab “refugees” as explained at : http://israelagainstterror.blogspot.com/2008/01/stop-them-with-clear-cut-victory-part-i.html
37. #34: Freedom an democracy faces Arab terrorism!
The Doc ,   Haifa, Israel   (06.06.08)
I wish you the same "victory" Hezbollah got in Lebanon. Gaza was never a country - Gaza was actually parto fo Egypt, so are you willing to die for Egypt with which Israel has a peace accord with? Are you willing to dies for the country (Egypt) which did not want you back when Israel and Egypt signed the peace accord? Maybe Saaadat knew what kind of garbage lives in Gaza and did not want it anymore. And you know what? He was right! Dying for Gaza is not dying for any "country" - it is rather dying for analphabet crazy Mulsim preachers who are sending you to sure death while they enjoy the relief money from the EU, US and yes, stupidly enough, Israel. You're fooling yourself and you're trying to fool others - this is the disaster of the fanatical Muslims. They murder and die for nothing and then they complain that their lives are even more miserable than before. So "stick to what you still have" and "stop war incitements".

40. #34 Freedom Faces Israeli Occupation
Ronald ,   NYC   (06.06.08)
I would like for you to know that Gazans do not even understand what they are fighting for. If there Arab brothers didnt use them originally for the own personal reason this situation never would of came. All there Arab brothers that support Hamas dont want them in there country.. They help them by giving them weapons but not schooling, Now the Jewish religion and Israel needs to fight and protect ourselves/itself for the right to exist.. The Powerful Jews in the US know that this is not there home if something happens to Israel something will happen to the Jewish faith forever. If an all out War on Israeli soil would ever come again I and most of the Jews in the world would be forced to fight for our Religion and our biblical home. Everyone blames the Jews because wherever they go they always become a very powerful group. If Arabs didnt have Oil where will they be? Most likely even larger savages then they are today.
41. Olmert just talk again !
AlbertoGa ,   St. George UT, USA   (06.06.08)
I wish the man would be a man not a Mouce. For sure he is not a responsible Israeli leader with the security of the brave people of the Negev in his mind. World opinion is his only concern. I will repeat again if a border town of the US was under attack over and over again. Hell will come upon the perpetrators. President Bush will not hesitate ten seconds to blast the Bastards.
