Israel is a liberal, democratic AND Jewish state. Regardless of what Bereny Andras or Reuven Brauner think of that concept.

5. We love gay pride but...
Gay guy ,   Israel   (06.06.08)
why does the media insist on highlighting drag queens year after year. As much as I love drag queens, they are a tiny part of the gay community. There are many more gay families at gay pride but I have yet to see a picture of 2 men and their kids.

If I were to quote the Torah to you would that be semi-fascist, completely fascist or what? Is HaShem semi-fascist? What makes one Yehudi? Is it blood? If so, have you traced yours? Don't try to defend sin with your name calling. I love all people but that doesn't mean that I have to approve of their behavior if it is violation of Torah.

9. Shtooyot!
Baruch ,   Boston, USA   (06.06.08)
They can march. They can legislate. They can do whatever they want. But, they will never be normal or natural in their relationships. They will always be viewed by most people for what they are, people in need of psychological or psychiatric help. Maybe some people are tolerant, out of sympathy, but ask almost any heterosexual couple if they'd prefer their children be straight, and the answer is yes. Never will they say, oh, I dont care, whatever they want. California will prove it by passing a constitutional amendment outlawing gay marriage in November.
10. What is a JEWISH STATE?
Chaim ,   Jerusalem   (06.06.08)
If not for following the Torah? Why be proud of Sin? You should be ashamed...
11. homophobia should not be a pejorative
izzy d   (06.06.08)
I am astonished at the logic of the parade organizer. she claims that from a social perspective, accepting the gay lifestyle is a positive value. Yet she refuses to extend that courtesy towards those who believe that the gay lifestyle is not a positive value. and yet the belief system that supports her beliefs (ie enlightenment, equality, and eventual global brotherhood of all mankind) requires that she tolerate and respect those who were raised differently. therefore to say that the parade is a "demonstration" "nobody will stop us in the struggle for freedom and respect" is just babble. after all how many anti activists showed up? 10

15. also straight who are not narrow marched
ted ,   potomac md   (06.06.08)
My duaghter--a new olah--is straight--but not narrow --and she marched with her neighbors--a young gay couple --and her best friends--Ironically, however, the freedoms symbolized by the march is undermined by the political sympathies of the left--for the Islamic world and jihad which are determined to destroy Israel and Western values of freedom and democracy. Does not Yael Dayan reazlize that the prejudices she rightly derides are held by our "peace partners?" See Geert Wilders' film "Fitna" and listen to his speech before the Danish Free Press Society.

19. Stamping on G-d's Torah in honor of the upcoming Shavu'ot,
Miriam ,   Israel   (06.06.08)
Monday, one of the major 3 Jewish Holidays. Shavu’ot was the day that G-d gave the Torah to the Jews. The Torah consists of 613 commandments – the laws in Leviticus - which EVERY JEW is obligated to keep whether he likes it or not!!!

25. #19 Miriam - keep your 613 commandments to yourself.
DkS ,   J'lem, IL   (06.06.08)
Do you seriously think that you are keeping all 613 mitzvot yourself? Many of them cannot be kept in the modern age since there is no temple. Apart from that: do you afflict yourself on Yom Kippur? Do you really love and not hate your fellow Jew? I really doubt that you do, as long as they are not sensitive to your worldview. Don't tell other people what to do, like nobody is telling you what (not) to do. You are not G*d's messenger on earth. Respect others for who they are, even if you don't agree with them.
26. #19 Miriam forcing religion on people
Simon ,   TA Israel   (06.06.08)
Why dont you look in your own house before shoving your religion of hatred on everyone else. It seems your friends when they are not attacking women, throwing acid in a young girls face and abusing and torturing young children. So thanks but i think ill pass on that one . Religion is nothing more than a primative superstition. SO thanks but you can keep your torah where the sun dont shine lady.
27. #20 Lee its you that needs help
Simon ,   TA the free city   (06.06.08)
Will you be offering a cure for black people as well or is your hatred just for Gay people? You really havent a clue have you? And all this from a do gooder who lives in New York and seems to think he can tell people in Israel how to run their lives. Lee you really shoud come out of your closet dear.
28. #25 It sure seems like you are telling her what to do! Oh,
that only works when ,   you say it! Right!!!   (06.06.08)
29. # 10 Chaim check your facts
Simon ,   TA the free city   (06.06.08)
Actually Chaim Israel is a demcratic state that recognises all jews from all countrys and all levels of religious observance. I as a jew and a gay guy do not live my life by the Torah and never will. Its called choice my friend. So dont go judging and slandering people based on a primative superstition. Proud? You bet i am !
