This whole episode is doubtless due to the fact that Korczak was neither Zionist nor practising Jew, thus falling between two streams of Israeli culture and also probably further due to the fact that Claude Lanzmann didn't like Andrej Wajda's prize-winning movie about Korczak; Lanzmann's own "Shoah" was to be the last film anyone was supposed to make on the Holocaust and Wajda had the temerity to ignore this stricture. I don't know how much platinum there is in the sculpture but obviously someone thought that there was enough to make the statue worthwhile stealing.
2. #1 You must wonder Chana LooLoo

Why YNET posts your prattle? Their social service department probably feels sorry for you. A lonely Londonistan matron jilted by an Israeli way back when and never recovered. I feel your pain but more importantly, I empathize with the artist and hope the museum finds his sculpture. If not, they should compensate him and keep better track of the art work in the future.
