1. Olmert: Be happy you were PM until now WITHOUT being elected
Miriam ,   Israel   (06.11.08)
You would NEVER have made it as PM otherwise. You know yourself that you don't have the qualifications for Prime Minister of Israel and certainly no qualifications regarding security of the State and taking care of our enemies the way you should. Two+ years of a pathetic government with a powerless leader is ENOUGH! Enough is enough. Time to go, Olmert!
2. There will be NO primaries
Ron ,   Tel Aviv   (06.11.08)
Think realistic. Olmert will pack his tooth brush and move to jail leaving his wife, children living abroad without permanent flow of cash. Don't be silly. Forget about "primaries".
3. ALL of Israel has suffered an injustice with Olmert at the
helm. ,   Maurie, Israel   (06.11.08)
4. And all of Israel greenlights his EXPULSION from our beloved
country ,   Maurie, Israel   (06.11.08)
5. Sounds like a bunch of Bolsheviks ...
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (06.11.08)
We get a glimpse of the inner workings of the Politburo seeking a successor for Comrade Olmert. Any resemblance between democracy & the Israeli political system is purely coincidental.
6. Olmert
Judith Yacov ,   Herzlia, Israel   (06.11.08)
Unneccesary elections may sharpen the differences between the personalities and make teamwork, so vital at this time, untenable. We're beginning to look like the French Republic after war with a new Prime Minister every season. It's hard to follow through and get things done like that.
7. ellections not olmerts self pitty or livni
zionist forever   (06.11.08)
The man sounds more like a dictaitor each day that goes by... he has suffered a great injustice being forced to go I have never heard anything like it before from a man who has damaged the country like he has he really doesnt care about anything but himself. In having these primaries he is doing the people yet another injustice because this is an attempt to keep Kadima in power and keep Olmert policies just have a new face carrying them out most probably Livni who is worse for Israel than even Olmert. The country deserves an ellection and if Barak has any self respect he would pull out of the coalition & force ellections now he has very little to loose potentialy alot to gain. An ellection held while Olmert is in power would see Kadima virtualy wiped out and most the vote split betweeen Labour & Likud. Let Livni take charge & she will clean up Kadimas image but carry on with the same policies and possibly make Kadima seem ellectable when ellections come round. Hold the ellection now Likud would probably win but Natanyahu would still need Labour to form a coalition so Barak could once again demand some senior government positions go to Labour. Basicly Barak can force an ellection now and have 1 serious chalanger or stick around wait for Livni to take over and have 2 chalengers later for the sake of an extra year or so in the coalition.
8. POOR OLMERT
DAVID ,   JUDEA   (06.11.08)
BOOHOO he suffered an injustice, what a Gutzpah, we as a nation suffered many injustices at his hands and many more will follow after he leaves us with his mess. Now that he got caught with his fingers in the cookie jar , he is crying foul. There is no way that anyone can respect such a looser lacking any decency and accountability. What a sick making mentality and ofcourse Ynet has to publish this affront to us, feeling no shame at all.
9. As you vote, keep in mind Livni's high IQ
Rami ,   London   (06.12.08)
As the mainstream media has reported, Tsiporele has an IQ of 150. You should be impressed. You should vote for her. A vote for Tsipi is an intelligent vote.
10. NA NA NA>>> NA NA NA>>> EH EH EH>>
freedom ,   canada   (06.12.08)
GOODBYE and good riddance. Israel deserves new leadership in trying times.
11. To #5
zach ,   Israel   (06.12.08)
That is how nominees are chosen in every country except for the US. Israel doesn't need to be forced through a 6 month primary season . Plus having nominees decided by the general population gets you worthless morons like nearly all the US canidates in histroy, Obama included.
