1. Let us re-phrase without any political-correctness BS:
The Doc ,   Haifa, Israel   (06.12.08)
"Three Hamas operatives were killed in a similar mishap two months ago. " should be "Three Hamas Terrorists were killed in a similar HAPPY EVENT two months ago. As an added bonus, they also wounded their neighbors and their property - a sharp reminder that the non-combatant population should either stay clear of the Terrorists, or kick them out from their neighborhood and any populated area."
2. There Needs to be An Independent Investigation
(06.12.08)
If it was an airstrike that will be apparent, otherwise it's a work accident. If the Arabs were clever they would have blamed it on commando units.
3. Worse collateral damage then the IDF
Maks ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (06.12.08)
The Gaza 'militants' kill relatively more civilians in their accidents and attacks on other 'militants' than the IDF. And the IDF is accused of targeting civilians...... *ridiculous*
4. fatah
fish ,   t-a   (06.12.08)
Fatah gunmen? I thought that Fatah are good guys and Hamas are bad guys.. or are they all bad guys bent on killing Israelis? Then why does Mr Olmert speak with their political boss, Mr Abbas ( Pr Bush called him a man of peace and vision). OMG, it's sick...
5. The Doc; spot on, as usual!

7. The solution to their distress and misery.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (06.12.08)
At least five Hamas terrorists were killed, and several were wounded… The dead and wounded terrorists were reported to be member of… In another incident two Fatah terrorists were shot and killed…. And so on… It is time to understand that a “Palestinian state” is not the solution. The Arabs should think about emigrating, discretely, to other Arab countries before it is too late, (most of these countries are not very populated and can easily integrate them). That is the real solution as explained at : http://tinyurl.com/2bbl4q
8. palestinians make the WORST neighbors
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (06.12.08)
just look at what happens to those who live next door to them. they are a deadly accident waiting to happen.
9. welcome to gaza.. it's a blast!
petra ,   usa   (06.12.08)
10. Gaza is literally sitting on a keg of gunpowder!

11. Gaza: 3 killed, 40 wounded in explosion
the other side ,   of the fence   (06.12.08)
It would read much better 40 dead 3 wounded, but still a grate act, what do you do for an encore
12. avoda aravit
(06.12.08)
anyone knows for sure that this blast was not caused by air strike. whatever the palestinians say, which is usually lies and pallywood, this incidence like many others were caused by bomb makers who do not have the sechel and knowhow how to handle explosives. sad, but true. these incidences cause death among palestinians much more than any idf or iaf strikes. they happen frequestly. when the explosion is greater, with greater human life lost, they claim israel did it. last month when two were killed, they claimed it was an accident and israel was not involved. this is how they do their vile pr. the more killed by them, the more israel gets blamed!
13. Ali Waked and his work accidents
Jay3 ,   Israel   (06.12.08)
Why does he always refer to terrorist accidents as a work accident? Is being a terrorist a payed job? Seems so by his reports. Why does YNet use this biased reporter constantly? SAY IT AS IT IS.....A TERRORIST ACCIDENT .............OR IM SURE YOU COULD GET A JOB AT HAARETZ!
14. Of course this was Israel's fault
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (06.12.08)
Wasn't Ahmed Hamouda one those on the list for a Fulbright scholarship? With an American education he could have learned how to handle explosives without killing his own family.
15. THanks Hamas for your self-destructive acts
OMG LOL ,   usa   (06.12.08)
You make the IDF's job soooo much easier when you target your own senior people!

Michael ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (06.12.08)
You have to understand that the terrorists have long since ceased being "freedom fighters"... even in their own minds. Why do you think terrorism increases every time it appears that there's progress in peace talks? Terrorism IS their career-- and if there were peace tomorrow, they would have to go to work like any normal person. How can you expect them to do that after the thrills of being an admired "hero" by all and sundry? The whole business of "freedom fighting" was nothing but lip service-- an excuse to be a murderous thug and a bully.
17. This is a candy-passing moment
(06.12.08)
that's what the arabs would have done if these bombs went off in an israeli area. :)
18. ALL THESE EXPLOSIVES AND THEY DON'T BLOW UP THAT IDF FENCE??
stude ham   (06.12.08)
with all those explosives stashed under their pillows why haven't they yet blown up that idiotic security fence israel is building? oh... because the fence let's them pretend in a manner that is such good PR for them and such poor PR for israel.
19. # 13 Ali Waked and his work accidents
Jim ,   Jerusalem Israel   (06.12.08)
How about calling it poetic justice. At least it sounds more romantic.
20. Cesar sent them a defective catapolt
Fradi Zeeb ,   New York, US and A   (06.12.08)
They've had the past 6 years of free press to tell the truth and they've just used it in their hopes to conquere Israel for the western nazis and get the big prize. The Hebrews don't even get complete ownership of the Temple Mound. It's a big western scam like Sunni and Shia in Iraq.
21. Explosion obviously the fault of Israel
Jeffrey ,   Boston   (06.12.08)
According to Jimmy Carter, Desmond Tutu, and Louise Arbor: If Israel hadn't laid siege to Gaza the terrorists could import more sophisticated, safer, ordinance. Due to the siege the Hamas is required to take disproportional risks in building their own bombs. This is a gross violation of the terrorists human rights and the siege should be lifted at once!
22. israel kills only elderly and young girls
Michael ,   Jerusalem   (06.12.08)
ISRAEL IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS BECAUSE THERE ARE ALSO MEN KILLED THIS TIME. USUALLY WHEN TSAHAL ACTS, IT RESULTS IN ONLY ELDERLY AND YOUNG GIRLS KILLED ... AS WE KNOW ...
23. #21 good one
Mike ,   Vancouver   (06.13.08)
24. Work accident
(06.13.08)
So...someone struck a match behind the senior hummus taster?
25. Wonder how many YNET journalists believe IDF halftruths.
Chanalau, Tova ,   London, UK   (06.13.08)
" the IDF made clear no forces had launched an attack in the area" There is too much evasive terminology in this statement, leaving too much room for manoeuvre should any independent witness emerge: 'no forces had launched' ... was it an IAF missile fired from a plane? 'an attack' ... was it a defensive action ? 'in the area'... did it come from say 2km away?
26. #25 Hamas admitted responsibility
Cynthia ,   USA   (06.13.08)
The military wing of Hamas admitted this was a work accident while "preparing for a special martyrdom operation." These fatalities will be called martyrs and used to inflate their statistics. The Palestinians also capitalized on this incident to launch 50 kassams at Israel.
27. To 25 even though Hamas admitted to it, lets break it down
Dude   (06.13.08)
[" the IDF made clear no forces had launched an attack in the area"] "There is too much evasive terminology in this statement," Really? Lets take this sentence part by part: "the IDF"= The Israeli Defense Forces "made clear"= Said strongly, stated correctly, etc... "no forces had launched an attack "= Means no guys with weapons, shot, launched, fired, and etc. there said weapons. "in the area"= The place where the 'work accident' happened. I hope you now have a clearer understanding of the English language. "leaving too much room for maneuver [sic] should any independent witness emerge:" What do you mean, 'should' a witness emerge. It's almost like you are expecting another coincidentally perfectly placed man/woman/child/donkey to come out of now where to confirm you already biased opinion. But eh, you are already proven wrong, by your own buddies in hamas for that matter. So I guess we can leave it here. Yet, I MUST ASK! Hamas used this opportunity to launch an unprecedented wave of terrorism. It was launched under shaky accusation, which was has now been proven completely false. Yet, where are you to protest the bombardment and attempted assaults on the Israeli's of the Negev?
28. #25
israeli ,   israel   (06.13.08)
So you wonder how many journalists believe the IDF. But do you ever wonder who believes you? Or even takes you seriously?
29. 25
DavidM ,   Rhode Island   (06.14.08)
When it comes to Israel, who believes journalists? And who believes the palestinains, when their dead come to life and jump back on the stretchers they fell off of.
