Now I know that Israeli medicine is top notch, that Israeli doctors are among the best in the world, but even they can't work wonders for a seriously injured 68-year-old woman and have her back on her feet and ready to go home to tell her story to the world 4-5 days. I know, I know, I should be ever so sorry for the poor woman, and condemn the evil JOOOOS who attacked her and so forth. But why does the story have to be so fishy? Why does this story have to be so shoddily researched and the video footage such a pathetic farce? Gone are the days when the Israeli public used to buy Pallywood productions hook, line and sinker. By the way, at the end of the footage the girl shooting the scene says something very clear in Arabic. Can anyone translate? Can anyone analyze the shadows and determine the time of day?

this is such an obvious fabrication - how often do you see a "spontaneous" video with a nice, clean "establishing shot"? or, to put it another way, why would the operator of the camera shoot four masked men coming towards them, before the attack started? did they video everyone they met, or did they know in advance to turn on the camera for this particular group? this is strictly pallywood, manufactured for b'tselem and the gullible bbc (who got an "exclusive")!

i need to stop procrastinating to start holding my own camera around. its stories like this that inspire. ill never forget that one friday prayer about 4 years ago that all of a sudden right after the prayer when people werent even finished praying that israeli police forces swooped in, closed the main doors to evacuate from the sanctuary(likewise no reporters to see what went on first), cornered the prayer people and started shooting indiscriminately. not to mention chained shut the building where the men prayed, and the snipers were ready on the surrounding roofs from around, like they've been training in advance. apparently, they were forcing the praying people to leave (calmly?). on the news later that day, it was reported that the palestinians were the ones that caused the trouble in the first place by staging a protest of some sort. which was ironic with what i, myself witnessed at that same scene.

crime like these, please take the example of the people in this article and start taking your cameras, video camcorders and what you will and contribute and expose acts (like this) that are casually looked over by the police. if the local police wont do anything, exposure will have to do.

This incident occured 8/6/08. As the BBC article dated 8/12/08 stated, "The BBC has been given exclusive access to the footage of this particular attack, which happened earlier this week." While the title of the article leads you to believe Jewish settlers attacked Palestinians, the BBC later in the article hedges by stating, "appears to show Jewish settlers beating up Palestinians". But in fact, the men in the photo wear masks and for all we know, they are B'Tselem workers moonlighting as actors because the video does not prove identity of the attackers. You complain 5 days have passed with no arrests yet B'Tselem gave the video only to the BBC and the BBC only posted this video 6/12/08. We do not even know if the BBC doctored the video. Israel stated they are investigating but the actions of B'Tselem are highly suspect and irresponsible since they withhold evidence that delays an investigation. If this video was used to protect the Palestinians verses for propaganda purposes, the video would have been handed directly to investigators.

In the 1970s, the Israeli military commander declared the area a "closed military area," and for the past five years, Israel has been trying to expel them from the area. I don't know, and I don't think anyone else could, either. If I were sitting on a jury trying this case, I would have to discount this video as any kind of evidence, pro or con. All it "proves" is that a beating did take place, with no evidence showing who the attackers were. It does seem "convenient" that the audio started only with the beating, and the assailants' voices were not heard at all...
