31. No to a ceasefire : Hamas must be crushed.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (06.17.08)
Not breaking the resistance force of Hamas today means that hundreds of thousands of Israelis will be brought within range of Hamas rockets later. A ceasefire agreement with Hamas means that we will soon receive a stronger, more protected, better-armed and better-trained Hamas. Cities such as Ashdod, Be'er Sheva and Kiryat Gat could soon be in Hamas-rocket range. Several Hamas leaders have declared: "We will strike beyond Ashkelon…" More about Hamas and Gaza : http://xrl.us/bma8o
32. the two things the DEFENCE MINISTER should do
zionist forever   (06.17.08)
First act like a defense minister and the most decorated general in Israel and stop this truce.] It will help Olmert for a little while, there will be no rocket attacks, people will be more satisfied and more tolerant of Olmert. The demands for early elections will start to loose momentum. This truce will cost more Israeli lives in the longer term because we have agreed to rapair all the damage done to the organistion over the past year rather than increase the preasure and get concesions out of Hamas. Hamas will become a mirror image of Hezbullh after the Lebanon war because we left without achiving anything and on the wrong terms. Within months of the end of the war Hizbullah were stronger than they were before the war. In 6 months time Hamas will be stronger than ever and then we will have to deal when they import more rockets, work on developing rocket technology so they can fly deeper into Israel, buy more of the longer range Grads which can hit Ashkelon. Make explosive belts and recruit would be suicide bombers. When we have had these hudnas in the past Hamas have justified the fact they are brining in more weapons during the hudna itself and saying its all part of their resistance. Not only is this truce going to give us a stronger Hamas but it doesnt even get us Gilad back thats not going to happen unless Olmert releases over 1000 terrorists many with blood on their hands. 1 man for over 1000 terrorists pretty much garuntees there will be alot more Gilads because we do deals with the devil. The second thing Barak can do is formerly withdraw Labour from Olmerts coalition of evil and on 25 June back the Likud bill for early elections if Labour pulls out then Olmert wont be able to get a coaliton together even if he invites the arab parties. Who knows if Labour goes the political prostitutes Shas might even decide the time is right to leave this evil regime. Barak needs to start talking with Bibbi do deals whereby he will garuntee Barak a list of certain cabinet positions he will make avalible if Likud wins and Labour joins the coalition. Early elections are also possibly the only way to make sure Barak stays labour leader. Hold elections now the party is quite happy to have him as their top man but wait another 2 years Barak could find Labour holding primaries and getting rid of him. So for the sake of backing up Kadiama for an extra 2 years he will loose any chance of becoming PM in future. Once we have garunteed disolving the Knesset to hold early elections Olmert wont be interested in doing whatever it takes to hang onto power anymore because early elections are garunteed. Howver unlikley maybe once he has nothing to gain he will act like a responsible PM and not allow this ceacefire designd to avoid elections.
33. be carefull everyone thursday... bad things to come
mish ,   tlv   (06.17.08)
I can just see them grabbing enough fuel and supplies, then having some come over here and create havock! keep your eyes on our "friendly" neighbors in the days to come... me thinks this is only the beginning.
34. THIS GAZA PEACE IS SHAMEFUL
(06.17.08)
35. WITHOUT SCHALIT? SHAME ON ISRAEL
david Hes ,   ToRONTO CANADA   (06.18.08)
How dare the Israeli Government enter a peace agreement without the safe return of Schalit. Olmert and Barak are without conscience and guts. You two will inevitably cause the fall of Israel to the Islamic terrorists. Have the people of Israel lost their collective conscience? Hatikva means hope and hope only goes so far. Hope for Islamic terrorists to gain a conscience. You have a long wait. WAKE UP ISRAEL, FIGHT FOR SCHALIT AND FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHT TO LIVE IN PEACE. DON'T CAPITULATE. FIGHT FOR WHAT IS RIGHT.
36. Hamas is very credible, your own ex-Mossad chief said so

38. Peace, Gaza and Shalit
I.Kemp ,   Nahariya Israel   (06.18.08)
Didn't this Govt say "No truce without Gilad Shalit....." ? Another lie, another betrayal by the most hated and corrupt Government in the history of this state but did we expect anything different ?
39. Why is it too early?
jason white ,   afula,israel   (06.18.08)
Does barak own stock in the kassam factory? How can it be a truce? You need both sides to fight, not one fighting and the other sporadically firing back. We should have hit them hard and have them beg to surrender.
