1. YEH RIGHT!
shadoil ,   Jerusalem   (06.19.08)
And Hamas is a movement that keeps its word with a sterling reputation and an example for all humanity.
2. Jewish Press
Sam ,   Jerusalem   (06.19.08)
Why does the Jewish Press consistantly and persistantly regurgitate Arab propaganda - the only beneficiaries are the Islamic terror groups who are amazed that Israeli newspapers and broadcasters would actually broadcast their propaganda.
3. ARAB PROPAGANDA IS NOT NEWS

4. You do not talk to terrorists, you fight and defeat them.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (06.19.08)
Since Israel withdrew from Gaza in 2005 Iranian-backed Hamas, which is pledged to wipe out Israel and every Jew, has built a well-trained standing army of at least 20,000 men and a huge arsenal of weapons smuggled in from Egypt, and relentlessly attacks Israel with rockets and bombs. Israel should finally mount a major incursion into Gaza to deal with Hamas. If it does, Western opinion, which largely ignores Israeli maximizetion, can be guaranteed to cry ‘atrocity’ once again. And just as before, Hamas will deliberately place women and children in the line of fire to maximize civilian casualties in order further to inflame that opinion. That is their way of “fighting” as explained at : http://xrl.us/bi9r6
5. the hamas bulletin here!!!

8. the thugs harsh response
charlot   (06.19.08)
al quassam brigades will send a "painful response"--as barked by ahmadino. hamas will send a" response so painful" as barked by ahmadino ahmadinejade will send a "very painful" response, as barked. I would like to suggest that the state of Israel should import immediatelyan xtra 6 months supply of Aspirin to distribute to our fearless IDF warriors as part of their 1st aid kit Your "pain in the neck" Charlot
9. The table has turned...
Natan   (06.19.08)
Instead of Israel destroying Hamas, it is Hamas who is warning Israel of "grave" consequences if it breaches the ceasefire. Sadly, a terrorist organization is now calling the shots. Sad day in Israel's history.
10. It seems crazy
(06.19.08)
There's nothing wrong with giving peace a chance. But, it has to be based on terms that have a possibility actually working. It seems crazy to give a bunch of terrorists a chance to rest, train, rearm and to release hundreds of your enemy who are certain to come right back at you again. Does anyone think hamas will not follow the same pattern as hizzbolah? A truce against one group, but another is free to attack? If you retaliate against one who attacks, the other considers it a violation of their truce and will then retaliate back??? Once hamas is ready fight again one of the other groups will get it started and you're back where you were, only worse off than before. I don't get this logic.
11. Hamas is just a bunch of cowardly dogs with a loud bark.
Yonatan ,   USA   (06.19.08)
ALL talk, nothing more. If Hamas is SO tough, come out from behind your wives and children and FIGHT. You animals make me SICK.
12. #10 That's true...
Soeren ,   Cologne/Germany   (06.19.08)
13. #10 & #12, it's a deliberate strategy to keep attacking
Mike ,   Atlanta USA   (06.19.08)
All on the basis of "proof" that Israel cannot maintain a truce.
14. Deport gazan terrorists to Saudi Arabia.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (06.19.08)
15. Hamas still prefers death to nationhood
JPS ,   Efrat   (06.19.08)
"The bottom line is a confrontation is just a matter of time. " Palestinian supporters who haven't yet noticed, should take note now: Hamas does not want peace with Israel. They don't even call this a "ceasefire". The Hamas goal is not peace, but war to eradicate Israel. Does the "elected" government actually represent the will of the Palestinian people. We hope not.
16. #13 Maintaining a truce depends on....
B   (06.19.08)
the otherside not firing first. A truce is broken by the first shot fired regardless of the side it is on. Let's sit back and eat some popcorn and see who fires first. I have a feeling i know who it will be.
