1. if it's so important to visit enemy countries...
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (06.30.08)
...then not serving for 7 years is an ever so small price to pay. i'm all for it (especially if it gets most of those seditious blowhards out).
2. finaly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yossi ,   nyc   (06.30.08)
3. enemy visits
alan ,   texas   (06.30.08)
well...its about time the Knesset passed a bill with some teeth. Maybe all the Peace Now Jews are finally waking up.
4. Syria and Iran are first on world list of 244 enemy states
observer   (06.30.08)
a dual citizen MK would just use his/her non-Israeli passport when visiting those two top enemies.
5. Syrian Parliament is going to hold sessions in Cairo & Doha

6. Esterina
RM ,   Bronx, NY   (06.30.08)
Esterina's presence in the Israeli Knesset is a disgrace. I am very nervous when I hear her talking but due to my good fortunes she no longer has any juristiction on me. because of Israelis like her and her boss I am better off in the USA. Lets leave it for her, her boss and the Hamas to finish each other
7. This law is harsh but reflect the unfortunate reality
J K ,   NYC, USA   (06.30.08)
The Arab MKs, generally, do not have the best interests of the state of Israel and its Jewish majority at heart. Just like senators and representatives would be sanctioned visiting enemy countries, so too these MK's should be sanctioned if they visit countries we are technically at war with or individuals they shouldnt be meeting with. They dont like it? Well, maybe Israel isnt the country for them. http://www.tzomet.net
8. YES!!! - Except how about eligible NEVER.

9. Please choose the Syria Parliament
Ben ,   London, UK   (06.30.08)
10. The internal Arab danger ignored.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (06.30.08)
If the arabs living in Israel will go on with their opposition to the Jewish State, they, and they alone, will be the ones to be blamed if a Israeli government in the future will consider them as a fifth column and treat them as one. If they accept Israel as their home, compared to all the other Arab countries, Israel will continue to be a blessing to them as explained at : http://xrl.us/bi3hx
11. Justice delayed is justice denied !

12. Bill Banning
jeremy ,   hula valley kibbutz   (06.30.08)
It is about time the goverment passed a law like this. People like Ahamid Tippi should be held accountable for supporting terror groups and countries that support terror. Hopefully, the law will be enforced. Next they need to pass a law against going around the world and trying to undermine an elected goverment, with their own polices, I.E Yossi Beilin and his Oslo accords and the Geneva Accords
13. Next step Supreme Court
Concerned Israeli   (06.30.08)
This law is a great step forward for national security. The next step, however, is for the Supreme Court to approve the law. Only then will it be institutionalized.
14. tibi
(06.30.08)
tibi advised arafat when he sent suicide bombers to kill israelis this makes him a traitor to the state let him become a member of the gaza parliament, we do not want him in ours
15. Why are they in the knesset in the first place?
jason white ,   afula,israel   (06.30.08)
They never served in the ID.F. Honorable service in the I.D.F. should be the main requirement for serving in the knesset or voting or serving in the government. There should be two classes of citizens here, those that served and defended Israel and those that did not. Finally there should be a law that only people who have reached the rank of colonel should be allowed to serve in the knesset. Too many generals, lawyer, rabbis and hara-dim are ruining us.
16. Didn't serve in the IDF/or Jobnicks
RM ,   Bronx, NY   (06.30.08)
1) Esterina 2) Leiberman (maybe he was a jobnic). 3) Sheranski 4) Olmert 5) Tibi as far as I am concerned all of the above are similar scumbags.
17. The article in Hebrew has a different tone
m ,   Toronto   (06.30.08)
They call the law racist (???) What has race to do with it. Have you lost your compass?? Normal people call it PRESERVATION
18. As an Israeli-Arab, I support the law
Rami ,   Nazareth, Israel   (06.30.08)
While motive for the Mks who initiated the bill might be racist. I do support it, i do not think arab MK have anything to do in countries like Syria and Lebanon, they should stay home and address issues that affect their electorate p.s wonder why Mofaz opposed it!!!
19. This law was necessary
David Zacharia ,   Las Vegas, USA   (06.30.08)
Excellent work assuming the Supreme Court does not overturn.
20. The racist and treacherous hats are burning!
The Doc ,   Haifa, Israel   (06.30.08)
In my view, most of the noise against the law is done by those who hope to commit high treason without the fear of punishment. So Tibi and the rest of B'shara's gang - including their Jewish extreme Left imbeciles: lets' see what you value most - your chair or your treason. Stop barking and start looking for a job. How does "suicide bomber" sound to you? It beats "traitor" any day, eh? I strongly advise the High Court to pass the law without ANY reservation. This law is NOT racist as it does not single out Arabs, Muslims, Christians or Jews. It is a law which defines unacceptable beahvior by ANY Israeli citizen and comes to protect democracy from being taken to a suicidal extreme. I challenge the High Court to see beyond the hysterical and violent Islamo-Leftist demagogy and pass the law immediately!
21. It was stupid to believe in the"Take me down the mountain

Drouch   (07.01.08)
1.On your list Sharansky is worse than Olmert. Can you explain why? 2. So the person who didn't serve his country in combat unit (jobnik) is as bad as an advisor to Yasser Arafat (Tibi)?
23. to 17. who are you to call normal are you creator of normal
Sharon ,   USA   (07.01.08)
and abnormal? Your lost! Toronto found that lost m, stay Toronto!!!!
24. Send them all back to their homeland of Arabia!
(07.01.08)
25. Thanks for a wonderful law.Should have been passed LONG AGO!
Alan ,   SA   (07.01.08)
26. Way too lenient!
Jay3 ,   Israel   (07.01.08)
These traitor Arab Mks should be thrown in prison for treason. Jaut banning them from the Knesset is way too lenient considering the damge they could do with these visits.!
27. As a non jewish, non arab israeli citizen...
Takan ,   Eilat   (07.01.08)
I agree with this law completely and it is not a racist law. No citizen, regardless of religion or origins, should be allowed to visit an ennemy state without prior authorization. The claim by politicians originally from an ennemy country that they could no more visit their family is futile. Ordinary israeli citizens do not go back to visit their family or their birthplace in Syria, Lebanon, Iraq or else... Why should a politician be allowed that? And after the Bisharra affair, how does anybody dare to speak against this law? And could Mofaz and Cie explain to the public why they voted against it? Maybe they know something we don't. Anyway, with this law and the referendum on the Golan law, the Government is obviously trying to cheer us up from previous deceptions. Next thing u know, they'll snipe Kuntar just before he crosses the border...
28. Be aware of the fifth column.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (07.01.08)
Israeli-Arabs have increasingly involved in terrorist activities. Former MK Azmi Bishara, one of the most senior and prominent Israeli-Arab representatives, fled Israel after an advanced investigation into treason and assistance to Hizbullah during the Second Lebanon War. Most recently, an Israeli-Arab from Jerusalem carried out the shooting murder of eight yeshiva students at the Merkaz HaRav Yeshiva. His parents subsequently set up a mourning tent adorned with the flags of the Hizbullah. More at : http://xrl.us/bi3hx
29. The Traitors
Brod ,   USA   (07.01.08)
should be charged with treason.
