5. Is there better argument for the need of the death penalty?
Tahl ,   Israel   (07.01.08)
In these ridiculous "deals", we always get our MIAs dead, in exchange for releasing murderers. Thus, there is no point in keeping these murderers alive, as we know they're bound to be returned sooner or later. And of course it's much better to returned them dead then alive. But I can't see this feeble country taking such a decisive step.
6. You want to talk about fake countries val
Lebanese ,   Lebanon   (07.01.08)
Val if i was you i would think twice before atacking Lebanon and saying its a fake country.. Last time i checked neither was Israel as considered by the Palestinians, Isralies the truth hurts, the war and eveything could of been avoided if you were smarter but obviously your not so dont attack Lebanon, because it looks like at the end we outsmarted YOU, you gave in to our demands from the start after the NONESENSE war of 06 , maybe if you thought for a bit and actually had a plan then the war would of been avoided and maybe Peace negotiations would be Easier between the two. Peace and Dont Say that Lebanon isnt a country or Fake because just like you have right to exist so do we.
7. Im proud of our "failure"
Israeli   (07.01.08)
at least we were humanist enough to want back our dead soldiers body and even pay a high price for it only so the families would have a grave to go to.
8. Lebanon: Prisoner swap an Israeli failure
Yhonatan ,   Jerusalem   (07.01.08)
Seniora the little mouse has something to say as he knows rag head won't veto him, Seniora Ackbar, now crawl back in your hole.
9. The 2006 was could have been avoided if the Syrian puppets..
The Doc ,   Haifa, Israel   (07.01.08)
..from the Lebanese government would have dismatled Hezbolah when it was still in its power. As it hapens today, Lebanon will be the first to get hurt when a conflict with Israel takes place, since Hezbollah will surely draw upon Lebanon total destruction, just as it did on 2006. The impotent Seniora should stop displaying his crocodile tears and during his pathetic public appearances. He is actually the laughing stock of the entire Arab world. He behaves like a dihmi in his own country. He cannot decide or say anything without his Syrian, Iranian and Hezbollah masters approval and instead of using the little time he has left, to regain the honor of Lebanon, he licks asses and kisses slippers. What a pityful sight he is!
10. another time Nasrallah proves Right. on July 12, 2006
fadi ,   lebanon   (07.01.08)
he said " the only way that israel will get back its soldiers is through indirect negotiations that will free all lebanese prisoners" Another success for Nasrallah and another blow to Israel !

I agree with Lebanon. If Israel is going to now release Kuntar NOW then th
12. RE #4: "You are a weak woman"
Jake   (07.01.08)
Why do you disparage women? Olmert is a simply weak. Most female leaders, for example Maggie Thatcher and Golda Meir, would put Olmert in the hem of their skirts.
13. Given that there is no legitimate government in Beirut
Arie ,   BaGolan   (07.01.08)
I am curious from what position Siniora is speaking?
14. Unfortunately, they're right! Of course it's a failure,
Miriam ,   Israel   (07.01.08)
A DOUBLE LOSS, especially since the war was against a tiny group!!! But that's part of this pathetic government's self-elected prime minister who needed to first SACRIFICE 119 Israelis and then was too weak to stick by his words - as usual, because "...we are tired of being courageous, we are tired of winning, we are tired of defeating our enemies…"
15. Seniora hypocrit anti-israeli
Sal ,   US   (07.01.08)
Seniora Mr hezbollah is going to kick you tuhaz very soon.
16. to "lebanese"
dovid   (07.01.08)
if we are going for a popularity contest, you may be right. Bu tin terms of countries, Lebanon is a failed pseudo-state while isreal is an econimcally thriving progressive democracy with asinine leaders, and a healthy amount of dissonance that does NOT involve turning our weapons on our own citizens. As for the Sinoras "failure"- you got a signifiacnt portion of your country destroyed while our economy actually improved. Tell me how that is that a failure?

18. #6, Hizbullah attacked Israel in 2006
Jake   (07.01.08)
and since Lebanon failed to bring in Hizbullah under its authority time and time and time again, Israel was forced to counterattack against Hizbullah, which unfortunately meant attacking Lebanese territory. As for Israel and Lebanon's right to exist, you are barking up the wrong tree here. Lebanon's existence as a sovereign independent state is a cornerstone of Israeli policy more than it is for any other country in the world (especially the EU, the Arabs, and Iran). But even Israel cannot guarantee this existence if you yourselves allow your country to lose sovereignty to Hizbullah, Iran, and Syria. Lebanon is committing a slow suicide. Snap out of it.

Your bragging about your economy, well you should have one seeing how much US pays you and how many jewish Investors from around the world go and invest in Israel.. i wouldnt say Israel is that democratic with women getting beaten to sit at the back of the bus and little girls covering up to dance, Lebanon is just as democratic and free as any other country.. instead of turning your weapons against your own people you turn them against others. And it really makes me sad to see how your poud that Lebanon got bombed while your economy improved.. good job :) Its a failure in itself that instead of being the bigger People and actually talking with Lebanon to reach a deal you decided to bomb us and then at the end when all the innocent lives were lost and houses ruined and country relations bruised your government is giving in to the demands that they offerd from the start. Im not saying anything bad about the Israelies, all im saying is all of 06 could have been avoided had your government thought clearer on the issue. Peace :)
