62. DO IT. Insist that the home be razed and the family deported
Rivkah   (07.03.08)
to Gaza. Don't just talk about it. The radical Muslim groups will PAY the family of the terrorist, so they should not be paid by Israel, too. They can buy another home with what the Iranians and Syrians will give them. They should not be allowed to keep the home in Israel.

Dont expect the government to ever launch operations like that again today worying what the rest of the world will think of us is the name of the game. Even in the past we have had idiot politicians who were more worried about international opnion that Israel. Peres was going to blow the whistle in Begins plans to attack Saddams neuclear reactor because he was worried it might damage relations with France. Thanks to the UN we never went after Mengle. He had been discovered by Mossad then the UN made alot of trouble about Israel snatching Eichman and so they agreed to drop the plan to go after Mengle and he escaped. The days when Israels leaders were interested in Israels interested are long gone.
64. "3 killed, 66 wounded" and Olmert says .....
redmike ,   Tel Aviv   (07.03.08)
"maybe we should knock down his house!". Barak is no better and also knows that he is finished politically so they both hang on and diminish the country's deterrence. Knocking down a house is a serious reaction to the crime that was perpetrated?! Almost every Israel believes that Olmert has to go as soon as possible! There was good news from the police today that they have accumulated much more evidence against him in NY and it seems that he will soon be indicted. Hopefully he will share a cell with his buddy Hirchson! Mike
65. razing homes will only end in prisoners or bodies swap
observer   (07.03.08)
it is easier here to reach that objective because Hezbullah is being kept out of south Lebanon

You're a blind, hateful lunatic - no different from the extremists you'd like to see dead. Such sick ignorance.
68. bulldozer attack
brian ,   greenville, usa   (07.03.08)
Please stop saying it was a bulldozer attack. It was a front loader, not a backhoe, not a bulldozer. It's like calling a semi a smart car.
69. About #42 and......

Demolishing the family home is deterrence to these animals.
71. murder is murder

First, most Israelis live quite comfortable, I guess. Second, it's the question what the Palestinians see as a "just and fair solution" to the conflict? The last 60 years it was "Israel has to be destroyed". And Gaza? Israel went out. The result? Was it peace...?! Does it bring peace to give the Palestinians land? Or will terror grow when they get more? It seems they will never be satisfied with what they possibly could get. You self obviously know best that the Palestinians want terror, war and victory – but not peace. Perhaps they might get back war – but for sure not victory...
73. He sure didn't look so dapper today...
A ,   Jerusalem   (07.03.08)
...when I saw him sprawled out next to that bulldozer with a bullet-hole in his head. I was there. I saw it. He got smoked by a real hero of Zion. She emach shemo.
74. bulldozing what was about to be bulldozed
observer   (07.03.08)
Dawyyat's home was on the demolition list for building without permit. So, now you can call on the world to support you in demolishing Palestinian houses on occupied Palestinian land. You could have kept your intention as secret plan.
75. Demolish terrorists' homes and deport Bush
observer   (07.03.08)
76. To Rivkah #62. Their Properties Should Be CONFISCATED.
Maansingh ,   The Netherlands   (07.03.08)
I second your TB wholeheartedly. Let the terrorist’s family and parents experience the ‘wonderful’ life in Gaza Strip amongst its ‘peaceful’ brethrens. BTW the properties of the terrorist’s family and parents in Israel, which includes the West Bank, should be CONFISCATED. And this money should be used to compensate the 30 plus injured and the families of the 3 killed during that tractor attack.
77. Ironic Justice
Mike ,   Jerusalem   (07.03.08)
What would be ironic justice would be to use that very same bulldozer to demolish the home of the terrorist (maybe even the entire kfar)
78. Baruch Goldstein
Erastus CoupeDeVille ,   US of A   (07.03.08)
So did they demolish Baruch Goldstein's house and kick his family out of Isael or does this sort of retribution only apply to the "other" semites?

Roger ,   Australia   (07.04.08)
Lets assume this was a terror attack and not a "late for work, in a hury, oh hell, my accelerator is stuck" worker (I guess we will never know will we?), didn't he get the ultimate punishment, the death sentence? Judging by the comments here, it's not enough, but then were do we draw the line? As intellegent people, we have to make those decisions based on the present times, not some ancient scriptures telling what god did in the past in similar circumstances, that has long reached its "use by" date. As long as isreal believes they are more worthy, they will remain to be the target by those who know better. Like America stuck in Iraq, their shock and awe is now shocking and oh what have I done! As superior beings, humans may think they are, as ussual, it's up to "evolution" for us to awaken.

That pretty much sums it up for the majority, wouldn't have half the problems in Isreal without it!
