1. Why should UN Arabs condemn the terrorism of their peers?
Miriam ,   Israel   (07.02.08)
And if they do condemn it, does anyone for one moment believe that they suddenly will "love" Israel. Of course not! Truthfully, who - besides Olmert - cares if the UN, US, UK or any other anti-Semitic nation in the world condemns it? The world has no respect for Israel and regard Israel as a weak state whose toothless leaders have lost its courage to fight their enemies and have very little power to do so.
2. Condemn Zionist Violence TOO!!
Dovy ,   Toronto   (07.03.08)
Let the UN ALSO condemn the mass collective punishment, the suffering of the Palestinians at the hands of the comfortable Zionist soldiers from their tanks, F16s and helicopter gunships. However, as far as Zionists are considered, it's always only a ONE-WAY STREET. They can demolition houses with their bulldozers and expect the Palestinians to stay home saying psalms all day.....It's pathetic. Utterly pathetic.
3. What goes around comes around
Reality ,   Bahrain   (07.03.08)
It seems this incident is similar to the Israel act; demolishing Palestinian homes and running over people including the American Journalese who was run over in the same way.
4. British government doesnt want the UN to condem
zionist forever   (07.03.08)
David Miliband seems to be justifying the attack. Of course the British government has no choice but to say its horific act thats standard diplomacy. At the same time the only thing Miliband is offering condolences and saying before you blame the palestians think about the peace process dont upset them. If this comes to the UN the British are going to be saying lets hold an investigation into who was responsible before we start talking about condeming palestians.
5. Does it make a difference if they condemn it or not?
Jay3 ,   Israel   (07.03.08)
6. The UN last address to help Israel.
Claudia   (07.03.08)
The today's terrorists are the brainwashed children of yesterday and the brainwashing of Palestinian youth is still going on in all children gardens, schools, Mosques and the Media. The books used in the Palestinian Authority school system, from elementary through high school, are full with hatred towards Israel, negating its right to exist and praise for the struggle against it. While in Israel's schools youth are be singing the long desired peace, the Palestinian youth are educated from birth in an atmosphere of religious and nationalist incitement, with no trace of anything positive regarding Israel, which results in a deepening of their hatred towards Israel, a fanning of the flames of violence and encouragement and justification of terrorism against the State of Israel and against Jews. Did any human rights organization ever deal ed with this issue? Did the UN ever condemn anybody? Israel don't expect justice from them, they are deaf and blind when it comes to your 60 years of a hard surviving struggle. Claudia
7. Palestine is a pressure cooker. Did the UN condem Israel
lydia ,   Brisbane   (07.03.08)
Occupation of Palestine and forcing the Palestinians to live as if in a pressure cooker. Such consequences must be expected when the cooker blows! Talk Peace!
8. #2 Palestinians saying Psalms? Good one
Jake   (07.03.08)
They don't recite Psalms, but rather Jihadi incantations. Not to worry, anyway, the UN will never condemn terror attacks against Israel, but will always condemn Israel.
9. #3 reminds difference between deliberate attack and acciden
Jake   (07.03.08)
"including the American Journalese who was run over in the same way" Yes, indeed, what we saw today shows the world the definition of a deliberate murder using a bulldozer. Rachel Corrie, by contrast, who tried recklessly to stand in the way of an Israeli bulldozer, was killed by accident. Despite the best offices of Pallywood Studios special effects, the malicious slander against Israel was exposed.
10. Un worthless to good people, friend of terrorists.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (07.03.08)
11. Wasting UN time over the actions of a single disturbed man?
Johan Odin ,   Oslo, Norway   (07.03.08)
Condemn what, it has already been determined that it was a spontaneous act by a lone individual who did not plan it in advance, and the person responsible is dead, so who will the UN condemn, the corpse of the dead man? For crying out loud, people flip out all the time and go on rampages such as this and the UN is not involved. Israelis simply want to be seen as the perpetual victims and always milk such events to the hilt like little children. Mourn the victims, help their families and work on ways to prevent such things from happening again in the future, but puhleeze grow up.
12. Get real..the UN ever condemn terrorims?
Arie ,   BaGolan   (07.03.08)
There will be a concerted workup to blame this on Israel; unifil has gone out of its way to destroy evidence of hezbullah rearmament;the UN blue berets routinely rape and murder boys and girls in Africa;the UN refuses to take action against the genocide being committed by the islamofascists against Africans. The list goes on. And someone in Israel really thinks they will condemn an arab murderer?
13. #2 - idiot, all the UN ever does is condem Israel
azi ,   lawrence, ny   (07.03.08)
14. UN must condemn attack
I.Kemp ,   Nahariya Israel   (07.03.08)
UN condemn attacks!? You must be joking ! They will condemn Israel for being there
15. Hey Dovy...
Yaron ,   USA   (07.03.08)
...what are they putting in the water up there in Toronto? Have you been asleep at the wheel to not see that all of the UN's condemnations are reserved for Israel and Israel alone? What senseless left-wing paradise are you living in?
16. #1
Preston ,   Florida, US   (07.03.08)
You're comment about the US is misguided. The US does indeed care for Israel. I will concede that it sadly would take a lot for our politicians to back you with our true military power. However, that is simply political garbage. Americans, especially the conservatives, know and respect Israel as a great power and as our truest ally. Just because a few fools in our backwoods are ignorant, that does not make Israel's greatest ally anti-Semitic.
17. The UNO.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (07.03.08)
Arab murderers should not be put on the same footing as Israeli victims. The UNO and the Security Concil members should know that there are never good excuses for murder : ignoring the murder is the equivalent of complicity. It is the duty of every State, not only Israel, to defend its citizens – Its absolute duty. Condemning Israel doesn’t bring solutions. Only a clear, fair and objective approach of the painful Israelo-Arab problem will have a chance to solve it as explained at : http://xrl.us/bi5c8
18. To 2, 3, 7 and 11: And now it's time for logic to reign
Dude   (07.03.08)
To 2: Please look at comment 13 To 3: "It seems this incident is similar to the Israel act; " The moral nonequivalence here is incredible "demolishing Palestinian homes" Which ones? The ones containing booby traps like in Jenin and Gaza or the ones that housed the terrorists in the first place? "and running over people including the American Journalese who was run over in the same way." Which one? You mean the one who lied in front of the bulldozer where the driver couldn't visibly see her which she was protecting a weapons tunnel? To 7: "Occupation of Palestine and forcing the Palestinians to live as if in a pressure cooker. Such consequences must be expected when the cooker blows! Talk Peace! " YOU DO REALIZE HE HAD A BLUE ISRAELI IDENTIFICATION CARD!?!?: Meaning that he received child welfare, health insurance, and etc. like any other Israeli ciitzen? He didn't even live with brothers and sisters in Judea & Samaria. He lived in a village on the outskirts of the Israeli capital. So what pressure was on this palestinian? Except the fact that his welfare check is lowering in value due to inflation? And I guess by this statement, since there won't be a double standard, that the people of Sderot now living in a pressure cooker have the right to unleash a relentless bombardment on Gaza? To 11: "Condemn what, it has already been determined that it was a spontaneous act by a lone individual who did not plan it in advance, and the person responsible is dead, so who will the UN condemn, the corpse of the dead man? " Yes this would be correct, if you weren't a liar. The fact is that a multitude of terror groups have taken responsibility for said attack. So care to explain how this could not be premeditated? "For crying out loud, people flip out all the time and go on rampages such as this and the UN is not involved. " Really? People take bulldozers and drive down the road trying to kill as many people as possible in Norway? Your country is so dangerous! "Israelis simply want to be seen as the perpetual victims and always milk such events to the hilt like little children. " Unlike the palestinians, who FAKE deaths (Al-dura, Jenin, and many more) and milk these in blatant lies. "Mourn the victims, help their families and work on ways to prevent such things from happening again in the future, but puhleeze grow up. " puhleeze, could you stop being such an Anti-Semite? Herzl was right Judophobeia the only disease which passes father to son with no contact....
19. Israel demands UN Condemn attack
Wake up call   (07.03.08)
Wake up Israel don't you realize by now that the UN doesn't care when Israeli s are hurt only palestinians! The UN is there to only condemn Israel not those who attack it, why you ask it is because the UN is filled with those who chose to Allie themselves with the Arab terrorists, why else are the arab countries that torture their own citizens on the human rights councils and other councils at the UN, while Israel is never elected or allowed to join councils!
20. the UN only condemns Israel for defending itself
robert renders ,   belgium   (07.03.08)
never will it condemn the palestinian murderers, because the UN security councel is an arabic biased nonsens
21. demanding condemnation
elliot ,   point roberts,usa   (07.03.08)
they can kill you as long as they are sorry or are condemned?silly and not an alternative to action.
22. 18 One unhinged Palestinian does not a terrorist make
lydia ,   Brisbane, Australia   (07.04.08)
“You do realize he had a blue Israeli id card.. .... he received welfare like any other Israeli citizen?” Are you implying that people who are on welfare aren’t prone to feeling disenfranchised? Perhaps he felt awash with guilt that he should have a 'blue id card' and enjoy all these 'benefits' you speak of while other Palestinians were being starved daily. Who knows what made him crack. Perhaps the road ran through his old Palestinian village. The jewish occupation hangs like the Sword of Damocles so you never will enjoy what you stole from the Palestinians. Talk Peace!!
23. #22 - Very well Said
Johan Odin ,   Oslo, Norway   (07.04.08)
Israelis for some reason do not accept responsibility for their own actions, and try to sell the world the falicy that the Palestinian response to being occupied, killed, abused and disenfranched etc. is unprovoked. I admit that I applaud the Palestinians for not giving up their homeland without a fight and extend my sympathy for their suffering while condeming Israel and the USA for the tyranny they have undertaken to further their sinister political goals.
24. israeli violence condemned
merlelynn01@yahoo.co ,   chicago usa   (07.08.08)
that's all the UN does is condemn Israel...did it say a word when Jordan didn't let Jews pray at the Western wall, did it say anything until Israel fought back in 1967? Come on the UN is packed with Muslim countries and complains that one Jewish one is one too many.
