Just 2 days ago Ynet published an article about only 50% enlistment among our youth ofcourse blaming the Haredi population. So it was time again to put some negative crap about the IDF on the front page, in orfer to boost moral and increase enlistment ,Ynet style. The whole issue is although that women serving in the IDFis a good thing , they should seperated as much as possible from the men, to prevent these kind of things from happening. In creating a socialist atheist society our Herzelist have sucseeded to destroy our moral fiber as a Jewish nation but the Jewish thing is exactly the sore point for our Herzelists. Frankly their whole set up is to be like everyone else and to deny our Jewish inheritance and looking at the results they are mighty sucsesfull at it. Jail time will be not productive, education and moral awarness will be.

I remind you that Israel was founded on the bllod of men AND women . I am a secular woman, considered attractive (whatever that means) and I work in an all male environment. Guess what!!! I am treated with respect and consideration. No one harrasses me, no one makes me uncomfortable. We have respect for each other. This is also the case in our other offices that have the same staff composition. The Master Sergeant was scum. He should be drummed out of the military. Get it? It's about attitude. Respect. Self control. Education. Not about gender segregation, taliban or haredi style. It's not about sticking women in the back of the bus or segregating sidewalks.

You can't really blame it on "Israeli chauvinism" since, unfortunately, this goes on in far too many societies. In fact, we can't even blame it strictly on male chauvinism since there have been a spate of incidents here in the States involving female teachers and under-aged male students. The problem stems more from a power imbalance than some sort of cultural pathology.

As Esther says in #12, this officer was scum and we know about this incident because he was punished by the army. Have you never heard of sexual harassment in offices, factories, etc. etc.? My father always told me to never get meat where you get your bread. For those with low apptitudes (left wingers) it means never have a relationship where you derive your livelihood. Even if the opposite sex is willing it is just a formula for severe strife and horrendous consequences. I don't advocate inappropriate sexual advances or mixing men and women in a military setting with no oversight. A man who acts like a dog is untractable around women in any setting. This mans remorse seems olny motivated becaise he was caught, not because he actually felt he had done something horribly wrong.

Although back then I didn’t know why that worked as well as it did, but my mother taught me at a very young age that a well-placed foot or knee would instantly reverse the direction of hands that were getting too close to off-limits areas of my body. Being the only "outdoorsy" girl in a neighborhood of mostly boys, the practice became habit and my aim got fairly good. Many years later and 4 months pregnant, this gut reaction saved me from something I prefer to not think about and landed a GI in the brig, who had no business in our house, while my husband was on base. Some self-defense training never hurts any girl/woman, either.
