There are many reasons why the army recruits soldiers at age eighteen and not at age 21 or 22. At eighteen you still believe that you are invulnerable. An eighteen year old is a bigger risk taker than a 23 year old. Since the army is responsible for their health and welfare it should provide some sex education and maybe even distribute free condoms.
