Redmike, you said 4 oil companies that got conteacts were all American. Sorry to spoil your anti-American rant - only 1 was American (Exxon / Mobile), the other was BP (UK) and the other French owned Total and Anglo-Dutch Shell. The US acts different from you cynical, backwards, and weak old Europe.
32. 29 There are canadian companies as well, and youd be very
freedom ,   canada   (07.05.08)
surprised at some of their political persuasions, as its not all about the republicans. HAHA>>> IF youre american you should do your research.
33. I agree

I mean... I wouldn't dare to shake Barak's hand either. For different reasons though.
34. If it's only about oil

then we should have invaded Venezuela.
35. Iraq and the Palestinians
David   (07.05.08)
Funny. I recall reading that the Palestinians happen to be the most despised and mistreated minority in Iraq today, with many Iraqis resenting them for their affection for Saddam Hussein. Perhaps the Iraqis are ashamed that Talabani shook the hand of someone so friendly to them.
36. What are the chances of peace?
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (07.05.08)
There will not be peace with the Arabs living west of the Jordan because the Arab leaders in the Middle-East are afraid of peace. We should understand why the leaders in the Arab world do not want peace with Israel. Peace and closer relations with Israel means democracy in the Arab countries, improvement of individual freedom for all, freedom of choice as to religion and education in other words the end of the dictatorship, the end of tyranny in the Arab countries first, and then, in the Muslim countries. Can the Saudi King Abdullah accept this ? can Basher al-Assad accept this ? can Mubarak accept this ? can all the petty tyrants of the Arabic Peninsula accept this, or Mahmoud Ahmadinejad ? …so let’s be realistic: can peace, indeed, be more than just a dream ? Peace with Israel means, also, the abandondment of Jihad, the abandondment of the conquest of the world by Islam. In order to understand what that means you should consult : http://xrl.us/bi7kq
37. #31 you are correct about BP and Shell ..

The US acts different from you cynical, backwards, and weak old Europe. You are correct that BP is British and that Total is French but please take a look at the article at http://blindbids.notlong.com or http://www.nytimes.com/2008/06/19/world/middleeast/19iraq.html?pagewanted=1 It is not the original article that I read the other day but it does mention Chevron (American) as well as Exxon and perhaps the most disturbing part of the article is the 'blind bids'. As regards the US being different from weak old Europe. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/7485331.stm It now seems clear that the third building didn't 'fall down' and it is clear that no plane hit the Pentagon because no plane parts were on the ground minutes later. I am American and am sad to see it in serious decline and to consider the ramifications of 9/11 I am not anti-American but am not blind to America's failings such as the Federal Bank being privately owned. No Barak has not sworn to destroy Iraq, but he does represent te country that continuously oppresses another population on a daily basis. Which is worse: one who is honest about his intentions, or the other who speaks peace but conitnues to steal land?
