1. I would allow twining...
John ,   Europe   (07.07.08)
But would choose a town that DOES NOT have any political conotation what so ever, especially a town that has any connections with any kind of Palestinian "suffering" (like Jenin). Wouldn't be nice that somebody says "Oh, look, these 2 towns are really twins: in Dachau, Jews were slaughtered, in Jenin - Palestinians!" Oh, to prevent all crazy talkbacks: I know everything about "Jenin victims" and short-time-successful Palestinian propaganda on that matter. I used Jenin here only as an "perception example".
2. Dachau & Gaza for twinning...
Edithann   (07.07.08)
3. "HOLY JERUSALEM "MOST APPROPRIATE
ROLAND SEENER ,   LONDON ENGLAND   (07.07.08)
ALL PLACES THAT BEAR WITNESS TO JEWISH TRAGEDY SHOULD BE LINKED TO THE "HOLY CITY OF jERUSALEM",IN NO OTHER CITY,DOES THERE EXIST A SPIRITUAL VALUE WHICH ALL CAN TURN TO,AND COME TOGETHER... FORWARD IN UNITY, AND IN REMINDER OF A DREADFUL PAST
4. Consider the age
C McCoy ,   Canada   (07.07.08)
Given that almost everyone who participated is now either dead or in a nursing home; given that 99.999% of the town's residents are too young for that; yes, they should be given a chance to clear their name.
5. #2 , that would be most appropriate
Jake   (07.08.08)
As both places were controlled at one time or another by a fanatical Fascist movement dedicated to the destruction of the Jewish people.

(07.08.08)
yes you heard me. The Germans have been working with the Israelis since the first hours that Gilad Shalit was captured and since the first hours that Goldwasser and Regev were captured. Instead of looking backwards in hate and anger I choose to acknowledge the fact that the Germans are our allies.
10. Dachau deserves its reputation
Sue ,   Los Angeles   (07.08.08)
My dad was a soldier at the liberation of Dachau. He said you could smell the stench from the camp in the town. When interrogated by the Americans, the townspeople claimed they didn't know what was going on next door. Ynet, will you now, please publish this?
